Well i was contacted via email from the mentioned company in regards to my resume on careerebuilder.com. In the email it stated i was selected to be a personal assistant to help transition the move from Canada to Arizona. This company wanted me to work from home for two weeks and receive a check for the purchase of office supplies and furniture.
Upon doing research on this company and finding very little other than their supposed client list, I decided to contact said clients. Upon speaking with the event coordinaters for a few of these supposed clients i found out no one had ever geard of let alone worked with this company. I proceeded to contact my state tax office to verify if any company had registed under the name "Elmark Event Management" or similar, but none had.
After all this had happened i came here to see if anyone else had delt with similar situations or some of the people i had been in contact with. Upon inputting the name Heidi Bristo into the data base it appeared on someone else report who had delt with the exact same situation only they received the check physically and verified that way that it was fraudulent and so i decided to post my situation in hopes this helps someone else like i have been helped by this site.
i cant believe what iam reading. same bullshit im going thru right now. i knew it sounded to good to be true. i even started doing the fake task. thank you for informing me. its a scam & their kind of convincing smh thats scary. they said their relocating to downtown miami.
