Ematic Reviews

  • Dec 18, 2014

I went on the website to purchase 3 8 inch tablets as gifts. The transaction did not go through, so I attempted the transaction several more times, knowing there was nothing wrong with the card. I did not receive an email confirmation or a call, so I made a payment to my card and tried the transaction a few days later. Unbeknowst to be, both transactions were approved. That's where the mess started. I called Ematic, the customer service number is worthless. It's one guy, answers the phone or puts the calls into voicemail. The same guy every time. He claims to take your email address and name and claims to escalate the issue to sales, the dept that supposedly can help, but has no number. I gave him my information as he said it would take 24-78 hours. I felt this was a bit extreme for an email,. but OK. No response.

I waited and finally got a response after a four days. Once I responded and asked for my money or the product, it took nearly 4 more days to get a response. I called back and this time pressed 1 for the cubby product, the only place that answers the phone. The one guy at option 2 wasn't answering. This is the Phillipine call center. I spoke to Josh first. He tried calling to get something done, and came back to the line saying no one was answering. He promised a call back. Nothing. I called the next day and got Mark. Mark took my information and lied, saying he'd call back in 2 hours. Nothing. I called back 5 hours later, and Mark answered. I asked him had they been any progress on my case. He gave me a number, and told me to press 317 as an extension. I called. It was a landline in LA. Turns out, the land line number belonged to another person who had been stiffed by Ematic. The gentleman told me that Ematic had been giving out his number as passive agressive retaliation because he's sueing them for stealing money and not delivering merchandise. He gave me several unpublished numbers that belong to Ematic that they dont want you to call, like the Califronia number where the receptionist Lyn answers the phone "hello", instead of "Ematic, may I help you?". I called Mark back.

Since now they had my caller ID, Mark didn't answer. Anthony answered. Anthony took my info and promised the same thing, a return call. Nothing. I went on an ordered from a different company, and requested a refund on the transactions. Ematic told me they didn't have the money. Mind you, after I canceled the tranaction, they responded with 4 or 5 emails all within a 1 hour period. Go figure. I told them my bank was going to dispute the tranasction and I would get my money back anyway, so to go on release/refund the charge. They asked for a copy of my bank statement. I sent it. Silence. This company is the worst. The customer service is horrible, the sales team is completely unknowledgeable, yet have the nerve to be rude. I can only imagine that they're products are as bad as their service. It turned out to be a gift not having to do business with these theives. Stay far away from this crooked, unethical company. They suck!
