Enterprise Car Rental Reviews

Bad service rented a car through Expedia and received a confirmation they told us they had no cars at that price. We could go down town to get this price. We are left sitting at the Airport

How many complaints are out there on Enterprise Rental...thousands? As I read others, mine certainly sounds like a broken record! I rented my car after an accident I was involved in, for local transportation while a decision was being made on my damaged car. When I returned the car, feeling 100% percent confident of no issues, the agent went to inspect the car. In less than 1 minute he came back in and says to me, "we have a problem". I was shocked. He took me outside to the car and tried to point out a "dent" in the top of the car, on passanger rear side! It was a sunny day, yesterday ( Monday Mar. 8), and I could not see the dent. A friend who was also going to pick up a rental, was also surprised. The agent said to me, "feel the top", which I did, and still couldn't feel the dent. Finally, in a spot with no sun, I see a small dent. I denied anything to do with the dent, blaming the person who rented the car to me, who looked no higher than the windows. After a shouting match with the agent I was threatened with a 911 call if I didn't leave.

So, I went outside to the car, opened the back door, felt the top under the dent. I pressed up on it with the palm of my hand removing the dent....that easy. Probably what the agent should have done, and dropped the issue! The agent became more furious, and went back in, got on his computer, and took my $500 deductable for damages! At this point I have several pictures of the car top with "no" damage.

That same afternoon Enterprise has the car sent to their "secret" repair shop in Columbus, Ohio. I call my insurance agent, asking about Enterprise's right to my deductable without a accident or claim report, and no adjustor looking at the car. He got right on it, contacted the adjustor to find, and look at the car. The next morning, today, I went to Columbus to find the car. I talked to the adjustor and he told me the location of the repair shop. I wanted to see for myself that there was 'no' dent in the roof.

I went into the shop office and the owner was behind the counter. I told him I was looking for a car sent by Zanesville Enterprise Rental, the make and mode. He got one of his employees to escort me out to where the cars were kept. I turned on my cell video, and asked the guy about Enterprise..."must get lots of damaged cars from them". His response was, "yea, they come in with little scratches that can be hand rubbed out, and the customer gets charged a couple hundred". I showed him the car I was there to see. It had no dent in the top. The employee couldn't believe it. I told him that Enterprise took my $500 deductable for that. At this point, another man approached us, and said I was to leave the property, he had talked to Zanesville Enterprise, and they "didn't want me to see the car"! He threatened to call the police if I wasn't gone in 3 seconds. I have a feeling that this is happening all over the country, or world, and the numbers are huge. I found one review sight, and of 1100+ reviews, over 900 were angry customers. This type of consumer fraud, and insurance fraud, is what keeps our rates so high.

I have rented from Enterprise for years and have NEVER had an experiece like this. I believe this problem is unique to the Byram, MS location.

After waiting way too long to pick up the car, they gave it to me with a filthy interior. It was so hastily washed they didn't even rinse off the soap. A very quick walk-around was done when I picked it up. Yet when I dropped it off they went over the car very meticulously and wanted to charge me for a very fine flaw that was only visible from a shallow angle in strong sunlight. Honestly, it took me a few minutes of looking before I could see what they were talking about. I strongly believe the "dent" was there before I picked it up. But now I'm stuck with the bill for the deductible.

A WORD OF CAUTION! In my opinion you'll be better off going to the Airport. Honesty is not something you should expect at this location

Rented a car they filed a stolen car report with the police under false allegations. Every attempt to corresponded with me was send to unrelated third parties by there repo / lost recovery department. The Employee lied in order to report the car stolen and to cover up his own mistakes. Anyone with a simular situation please contact me cause i am getting ready to sue them Civly. Its bin almost a year and a half i am finally getting the criminal case dismissed for lack of prosicution. (((REDACTED))) @yahoo.com
