Enterprise Rental Car Reviews

  • Jun 25, 2015

My car got hit while it was parked outside my house one night. No insurance information was left. I called my insurance and filed a claim. The claims department set up the rental and all of the information for me. When I spoke with the rental car place, I stated I did not want any out of pocket costs and did not care the type of car I got.

They chose the Enterprise in Edwardsville. I dropped my car off at the body shop on Monday morning around 9am. Enterprise picked me up and took me to the location. They advised me there would be .62/day cost for the car. I told them I did not want any out of pocket costs. They were going to put me in a different car that would not cost me anything. An hour of walking outside in the heat later, we could not find the other car on the lot. I ended up saying fine give me the car for .62/day.

I was already aggravated because they were money hungry from the start. The guy then stated he needed to "clean" the car up. The car was a mess when given to me. I had to wash and vacuum the car because it was dirty and smelled like an ash tray. Mike, the guy that gave me the car, walked around the car with me. He pointed out a couple scratches on the back bumper and driver side of the car. I took pictures and pointed out a crack in the windshield. He reassured me not to worry that the damage on the car isn't substantial enough to mark on the contract as damages. I should have pushed back, but I didn't expect them to screw me.

I had the car from Monday and dropped it off Wednesday around noon at the body shop. I called Enterprise they gave me a quote of $48 back on my card from the deductible. A few hours later I get another call from Enterprise accusing me of causing damage to the rocker panel and cracking the rear bumper. I did not do any damage to the car.

Funny thing is, there was a lady being accused of the same exact thing when I went there to dispute the damages. Coincidence? I do not think so. Seems to me they saw I declined the extra insurance, did not inspect every inch of the car, and did not want any out of pocket costs, and wanted to take advantage of me. They wanted to get their piece of crap car fixed. They found damage that they knew a normal person would not look for and pinned it on me.

They are not getting a single cent off of me. I am waiting for the general manager to call me back. I am not happy!! This is so ridiculous. Do not rent from Enterprise ever! They are rip offs and should not be in business.

We rented a California plated car at the South Dakota airport and drove it to North Dakota and returned it at the airport. Upon check out of the vehicle the girl at the desk said,"" Come back in and tell me if you see any scratches larger than a dollar bill or dents bigger than a quarter.” We looked over the car. My husband said” Look at that front fender, it was repaired poorly”. But…it was not a scratch or dent so we didn’t report it.

When we returned the car and flew home we got a phone call on our layover saying that the bummer and fender was damaged and there “appeared” to be animal hair in it. Also the car flat tire kit was missing.

They sent me out across county to the Badlands with no tire repair kit and they are blaming me for the loss of it!! Some nerve!!

The bill is $1,118.55!!! I have called and called to complain to every office, manager and Damage recovery unit. I was not given any proof of prior work or repairs to the car or inspection reports. My insurance paid some and Enterprise sent me a bill for $895!!!

I was quite alarmed when this website had 54 false damage reports against Enterprise and only a handful against Hertz. There is clearly a scam at Enterprise.

I was envolved in an auto accident that caused severe damage to my personal vehicle. The at fault drivers insurance company arranged for a rental while my vehicle was being repaired. Originally when I went to Enterprise the only vehicle they had was a pickup. I agreed to accept this vehicle but I was told that they would call as soon as they had something that was more economical to drive. I dropped my personal vehical off at the repair shop and was told that it would take 3 weeks to repair because they didnt have all the parts in stock. I called Enterprise The next day and was given a smaller Nissan to drive while my Auto was being repaired Enterprise took My credit card information for the deposit on the rental,

The at fault insurance company was being directly billed for the rental. I get my vehicle back and there is something going on with it mechanically so I call the insurance company and let them know what was going on and I was advised to take it to a Mechanic. The mechanic told me that the Aframe was bent and that some suspension parts needed to be replaced. This caused me to have to stay in the rental for an additional two weeks. When I got my car back the paint on the front bumper cover began to peel off. I took it back to the body shop dropped it off and went on to work.

I am a truck Driver, Im in North Carolina and I get a call from the Manager of Enterprise and he tell me that they have been looking for the car and that they have reported it stolen because they trided to charge my credit card and it didnt go through. I explain my situation and I tell him that I am not stealing this car and Ill be in there tomorrow to drop the car off. I get another phone call from him later that evening and he tell me he needs the car now. So I drop my load drive back to Atlanta and take the car back to the Enterprise location in College Park and drop it off no Damage on the car. I call him that night and then the Next day to confirm they have recieved the car and I ask him what my balance is on the rental.

He gived me My balance and I go in the following Wed to pay him. Kenneth Roy tells me that it has to be in cash. So I pay him in cash and ask for a reciept. He gives me a printout of the cash transaction and Im leaving he stops me and says there is damage on the car and shows me two very small dents on the trunk top ( smaller than a nickle, and only seen if your looking at an angle ) I explain that the car was presented to me on a flat surface and I wasnt looking down at the car when I took it . He said to me well Im just telling you so that you will know. I leave think this is behind me.

In January 2014 I was stopped by the police in my neiborhood with my children in the car ages 10. 14, 16. The officer said that my tag was showing no insurance. I gave the officer my insurance card and drivers licnese . he came back to the car and said that my insurance was valid but there was a warrant for my arrest for a stolen vehicle. This is a felony in Georgia. I was arrested with no bond and had to endure the frustration and embarasment of this wrong. When I got to the Station I had an opportunity to talk to the investigating dective, the detective called Enterprize and the manager at that location told the detective that the vehicle was not turnned in but was recovered in Chicago. I spent 3 nights in jail because I could not get a bond because it is a felony charge.

My wife called Enterprise and they would not give her a simple statement saying where the car had been turnned in too Which was the location it was rented from. Enterprise has been sending me a bill for damage to the rental in the amount of 1100.00 if this is a tattic that they use to grow their revinue this is a shame. Stay away from this location. Ive had positive experiences with this company but it appears that this location has some customer service issues. If anybody know how I can sue these people please let me know.. I have lost my job and noone will hire me because im facing a felony . My life is on hold because my credit card didnt go through and these people want tell the truith to the detective.
