We have 2 companies to file complaints about. The First is Eschelon Merchant Services. 8125 N. 23rd Ave. Phoenix Arizona 85021. (877) 449-4285. Involved with Fraud and Business Affiliate is Northern Leasing Systems Inc. 132 West 31st St. 14th Floor. New York, 10001.

Michael Lee (Independent Sales Agent) with Eschelon visited our business upon agreed appointment. Mr. Lee said he wanted to ""compare our pricing to our current credit card service provider.

We agreed and Mr. Lee stated ""I can better your pricing by a pass through rate of 1.75%. He also guaranteed in writing that the rate will never go up as long as we stay with Eschelon. He was told by the operations manager that we wanted to see a written approval from his main office. We also required credit card swipe machine pricing. He mentioned ""leasing"" a machine and we refused. It makes no economic sense!

Mr. Lee then replied by saying ""I first need to get underwriting approval from the main office.""

We agreed as long as we were not bound by any contract or his proposed offer. Michael Lee responded by saying ""I’m a man of my word. I’ve been doing this for over 20 years. I never have taken advantage of any customer.""

In order to get ""underwriting approval"" he needed the 1.75% ""guarantee pass through total rate charge signed."" A copy of our business check, and signed paper asking to provided personal info, as well as social security number.

A few days passed, and Michael Lee returned when the operations manager was out. Instead of leaving our requested information. Mr. Lee connected and programed a new swipe machine without consent.

Being a “man of his word” We gave him benefit of the doubt, and waited for our first bill. One week later we received a double sided contract including a lease agreement with Northern Leasing Systems Inc. The contract included a forged signature of the proprietor of the business as well as other falsified information not provided during original meeting.

The lease for the credit card swipe machine came to $139.00 (monthly with other garbage fees) The term was for an unagreed 4 year lease.

We called Mr. Lee many times with no success. We called ""Nicki"" in the ""customer retention department"" @ Eschelon. She said the contract was non voidable, even though we faxed to her proof of thee forged signature.

To get around this adverse situation, we then tried to negotiated a lower rate with ""Nicki""

We agreed to even a lower rate if we can use or own swipe machine.

She said ""Eschelon and Northern Leasing Systems Inc. contract together. If we don’t use their machine, we can’t get the pricing.""

In short. Eschelon Merchant Services & Northern Leasing Systems are prime examples why small businesses are leaving Southern California. Also why small business has no faith in our judicial system, which are suppose too protect us from these scams. The Federal Government should reprimand these business, and be ordered to reimburse every company they took advantage of…

Eschelon Merchant Services

we had a similar experience with Michael Lee of Eschelon. After filing a police report for identity theft, the record is added to our Experion credi. Watch out for this guy...he's still working for Eschelon!

This is Sean Block from Blockhead Fitness. I'm continuing on my prior rip off alert after being with Eschelon Merchant Services since December 2013. This company had told me all these savings if I swithed. As it turns this comapny is costing me about 20% more than Chase Paymenttech. This 20% comes from having somewhat the same rates as my old serivce but a lot more hidden fees and now I have a swipe card machine that costs me $47 a month. This machine is now rendered useless because I can do eveything online with a card swiper that conects to my computer. I'm now stuck in a 3 year contract with this machine. I should of had all this in writing before I signed the contract. My advice, do your homework before signing any credit card contracts. They're like any business out there, trying to make as much money as possible and lying through their teeth with a smile as they do it.
