FMU/CC may be accredited BUT NOT by any acceptable assoc. like the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. I made a BIG mistake I didn't research FMU like I should have before attending. I obtained a AS degree and wanted to go for a BA, however no school (especially state colleges or univ.)would accept their credits. In fact, when I mentioned FMU they informed upfront without applying and paying my admission fee that FMU's credits WOULD NOT be accepted.
FMU/CC wants to say they are accredited but, they can't even hire instructors unless they have graduated from a recognized state accredited college or university. They are like all colleges and univ.though,their after your money. Just make sure you are GETTING WHAT YOUR MONEY'S WORTH and to do that go to a real college or univ. Another bad thing is lending agencies don't care about accreditations they just want to HOOK YOU by lending you money and this is where FMU/CC excels at.
FMU/CC is more expensive and their credits are worthless if your wanting to transfer. Best bet, do your homework & go to a recognized accredited college or university and to do this just go online and search a well known state school like University of Florida or University of South Florida and see who their accreditation assoc. is then look at the accreditation associations website to see all the schools listed.
I'm currently starting over at a community college and will continue until I at least obtain a BA. I lost time and money attending with FMU/CC, DON'T WASTE YOURS!!
