My mother (age 77) was contacted by phone by a person saying her Dyson was due for servicing - as she has 2 Dyson hoovers dcso + dcos models that were due for servicing she agreed - - she was made to think that it was Dyson calling and on 13/04/15 an engineer called Craig Inguam came to her home with paperwork with the Dyson name and logo and took her dcos model away for repair and said the dcso needed new brushes.
She paid him £190 and was told he would return the following week with her Hoover and new brushes, He Didn't so she called the number on the invoice which turns out to be http://excelservicing.co.uk/ since then she has called them and arranged delivery another 4 times the last time was today between 9+11am still no show.
She only told me about what has been happening a week ago and is very upset and feels like she has been conned out of her money/hoover, She thought it was the Dyson company and keeps saying she had never had a problem before with Dyson - http://excelservicing.co.uk/ are using Dyson company's name, my Mother doesn't go on computers or the internet so didn't know it wasn't Dyson company who contacted her, she said how did they know her guarantee had just ran out only Dyson would know.
I have contacted them by Email and phone - and arranged todays appointment - I called them when I got home from work and they have set another appointment for next Thursday 04/06/15 between 3-7pm
I just think you should know that http://excelservicing.co.uk/ are using the Dyson name and reputation and something needs to be done about how they contact people - my mother wanted dyson to do the servicing and repair.
