The people are a bunch of Morruns

I received a letter in the mail from First National Collections Bureau stating that I owe $376.90 and that I can set up 3 payments of $37.70 for the next 30 days. First off they sent the letter to my home address without my name on the letter. 2. They said that the original creditor was Jefferson capital systems. 3. The current creditor is Wachovia Bank Check Acct. This is a scam. I called the 800# s/w a representative provided all of the information on the letter. I asked her what is this letter all about. She apologize and said that the letter was sent in error and that she is going to remove me from their listing. Yeah right!

common sense

If you want to verify the validity of a company you go to that secretary of state for that business to search for the business license hearsay or taking someone else's word is a ignorant as taking advice from a stranger any legitimate business can be researched through the appropriate sources not just someone trying to slander a company or individual........

I recieved a letter from First National Collection Bureau Inc., stating in most threatening tones that I, owed them 7,651.53

but they/their client "Arches Financial, LLC." Aspire, were willing to settle for $765.15, in five payments of $153.03.

Along with the report were sent five payment stubs with addess, and date to be sent, and set number.

Knowing I, had not gone to online school, knowing , I do not have credit debts, or credit cards, I also knew I,

did not owe this debt!

This is the second junk debt letter my spouse has received in six months. We recently cleared up his entire credit report and paid off all legitimate debts through an actual agency. Since then, I believe these junk debt collectors have seen the amounts of debts that were paid off and are using that as leverage to trick us into paying these bogus debts.

The first time we received a letter from Credit Management LP, for CenturyLink formerly known as qwest. I sent a letter saying they were misinformed and to stop contacting us. I sent it with a required return receipt and certified. A week later they sent a sorry letter and that the debt has been cleared.

I will be sending the exact same letter to First National Collection Bureau, Inc. because again, we have never had a DIRECTV account and I am not for one minute giving them the time of day.

The letter states they are offering a settlement of $130.26 in payments over 2 months starting on 4.24.14. Once both payments have been received they will consider this debt paid in full. The settlement is only guaranteed if they receive the payments in the office on or before the dates set forth on the letter.

The "current balanace" is for $260.51 and the account number is a Part number.

Bunch of crap, waste of their time, my time and paper.

I received a "formal" looking letter from said agency to offer a settlement on a bad debt. The offer was one I could afford and I was anxious to settle the debt and help repair my credit. After I called and spoke with some one called Marina Navarro who claimed to be an "Account Executive", I agreed to the terms in the letter which offered a 50% of original debt settlement offer and sent the 1st of 6 monthly payments. The payment cleared and I have proof.

About a week later, I recieved a confirmation of payment letter from this "Account Excecutive" but the letter did not reflect the 50% settlement, as agreed, but rather it showed the original outstanding debt. I called and spoke to someone named "Adam Green" who claimed to not know who Marina Navarro was but said he worked for the company.

I expressed to him that the confirmation letter did NOT state the correct settlement amount. He stated the letters are computer generated and that the computer does not "know" about the 50% settlement and therefore would just reflect the original debt. I asked why. He stated when I was done paying the 6 monthly settlement aggrement, then a letter would be sent to the credit bureaus to show the debt was satisfied. This seemed "fishy". I became concerned that this "agency" was bogus.

A few days later, I called the agency again, trying to talk to Marina Navarro. The call was made during the stated business hours. I tired to get through more than once and each time the call was dropped with a recording saying, "We can not take your call at this time. Call back later."

I made an agreement with Fncb to pay off a debt they told me the original debt was 445.85 for a 300 credit card that i only used half the balance they offered me a seettlement of 50 percent off I made two payments then borrowed money to pay it off because I am trying to fix my credit. after getting a paper with a o balance printed out. I recieved a new letter in the mail telling me I have only paid half and the rest is due.

There has to be some way to handle this i have paperwork that says my balance is paid in full. Today i get a new letter saying only half the balance is paid. This has reall made me consider not paying off any more debt. This has truly left a bad taste in my mouth for trying to do the right thing. If this is not resolved i will spend money to promote this crap online so nobody pays of fncb ever again.
