On March 16, 2015, I received a phone call on my land line from a fast talking sales person, actually two since I said no to the first person. Basically, the gimmick was to sell me the product, 30 day money back guarantee and if I used the product for 90 days, they would pay me $5.00 for every pound I lost.
After a few weeks, I called them up and told them I wanted to return the product. They gave me the address and I returned the product. On April 14 I received an email stating they refunded me $79.95. In the interim, my debit card had been compromised and I had to get a new one reissued.
After waiting a few days for the refund to appear, I called customer service. They assured me they refunded my money and that I had to work with my bank to figure out where the money is. I told them about the compromised card and noted the card had been stopped. They said that wouldn’t matter since the card was tied to my checking account and that I should call them back in a few days. I called them back a week later letting them know my account still did not show $79.95. The person I spoke to, unfortunately didn’t give me her name but told me that she worked in a bank for many years and that my card was still active “behind the scenes” and when I told her it was stopped, she said “it appears you don’t want to hear what I have to say so have a nice day” and she HUNG UP on me. I called right back and spoke to Joe. Long story short, after 2 months, 5 separate phone calls, and doing everything this third party vendor had told me to do, I still do not have my money nor the product! I asked to speak to a manager and they said he doesn’t speak to anyone. I mentioned to them just because I received an email stating they refunded my money, doesn't mean they did, especially since the bank cannot find the money anywhere.
My bank tried sending documentation verifying the monies were not deposited but they did not want any documentation from my bank. Needless to say, customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in my entire life. You cannot get beyond them. So, I am out my money and I don’t even have the product to show for it. The bank worked with the credit card company and told my bank it is between the merchant and the customer.
