Gateway Classic Cars Reviews

  • Mar 23, 2015

So far we had to relace the engine the one in the car had two low cylinders, a broken ignition switch, repair the power windows , fix a transmission leak and on and on we go $15,000 in the hole and still counting. It was lie after lie also wiring the chock open to start the car.

I bought a 1970 challenger RT Clone show car from Gateway Classics Cars fro a Salesman Doug Howell on Nov 19 2014, after many telephone conversation going over the car the car was shipped to me. All the time Doug and I were taking I would asl him about problems with the car, leaks what was not working he would say everthing is working no leaks, engine running great a real show car. Well when I got the car after I traded my 1932 Ford and $8,000 I got this car with a broken igination, power windows had lots of trouble going up or down, the engine back firning and running over 2000 RPM, NO horn and leaks like crazy. I called Doug about the problems and he said the Director of sales Brad Kline would get back to me he call and asked me to get estimate on the problems,I did but he would do nothing the car is sold as is. Well so far I have about $15,000 into the car getting it fixed, new engine because the other one had two low cylinders, whey low 45 lbs, wich should be in the 100 range. So if your going to buy a car fro Gateway Classic Cars in any of their location be very carryfull and have that car look at before you buy and do not take their word on anything or you will be join my get screwed club. I could write another page of problems we found, but I think you get my message by now.
