I signed up with Gateway Energy because they offered a low teaser rate of 47 cents per therm for natural gas and without warning they started charging 1.10 per therm which was far above the going rate of 53 cents per therm .When contacting them they suggested i go on a 2 year plan at 80 cents per therm.....they are a bait and switch firm ...do not fall fo their low teaser rate or you will wind up paying dearly in the end.
this is in new jersey and there is no regulation to prevent such action....shame on new jersey and gateway for not caring about their customers.
