The thing is they boast about getting 1 million user withing 3.5 months. How exactly have they done that? They go to legit sites such as Indeed.com and use alibys such as Costco to snatch people. One would think that this company is similar to Aon or Xerox though it isn't. You think you are applying for a job because they ask you to put your resume and go to the extrems. I stop thinking it was a job application when they started asking me if I had a iPhone or Android phone. Though I continued to apply and put my picture up... I'm not exactly sure why they even need all this info if you are NOT even applying for a job. This is one of the truly biggest scam of the internet. If you have created an account I recomend that you delete it. I also recomend you do NOT use Indeed. Use Career Builder.

On July 21, 2015 I had a phone interveiw with a Gigat's job search specialist. Her goal was to create an account that they could use for matching me with ideal job descriptions. Not only was she unable to tell me basics about the job I was applying for (i.e. whether it was full time or part time), she phished for my age.

I had already told her that I had two degrees, but she went back to my high school diploma and asked me to confirm the year that I recieved it. I just read an article two days ago that said that employers are not allowed to ask your name OR try to use your high school graduation year to estimate your age.

Beyond that, I felt that she was trying to pressure me into taking classes instead of focusing on searching for work that I am already qualified and trained to do.

I received an email indicating that a specific known local company was hiring immediately in my area. I clicked on the link and a pop up appeared wanting to know if I was interested in pursuing an associate degree via a relatively unknown online program. I selected "no" because I already have associate and bachelor's degrees from The Ohio State University. At this point I was required to register, so I did.

I received another email instructing me to click on alink to verify my email address. Upon doing so, I was again bombarded with questions about furthering my education and I answered truthfully, that I was not. I didn't think too much about it at this point because I figured these online schools were probably paid adertizers.

Shortly thereafter I received a phone call from a Gigat agent who said his name was Will. He told me that he was an employment counselor and that he guaranteed to find me a job within two weeks. He was very polite. He went on to ask me for my personal information, including work goals, work experience, educational background, etc. He did ask for my address, email address, phone number, date of birth, etc. but did not ask for my social security, which I would not have given if he had. He gave me is email address ([email protected]) and told me that he was sending me an email with a username and password so that I could continue with the job application. He then transferred me to an educational counselor named Joan.

Joan was also very nice. I told her that I already hold AA and BA degrees and would like to someday pursue an MA degree, but only at The Ohio State University and after I had a better paying job. She advised me that some of the schools she works with have financial aid and I was very firm in letting her know that I was not interested in any other colleges or universities.

After I was through speaking with Joan I checked my email. Will never sent me a username or password. I sent him an email inquiring about it. He never answered me.

I just got off the phone with gigats and have this to say:

Gigats does NOT seem legit.

They DO seem to exist to sell further education.

I explained to "Will"--at least three times--that I have two BA degrees and a couple professional credentials and DO NOT need or want more education at this time. Will (who I suspect to be either an admirably advanced robot or an oily script-bound salesman) continually worded and reworded and restated the same questions, and our discussion was punctuated by oddly spaced and weirdly lengthy pauses. As our "conversation" advanced, it was less and less about work or a job and more and more centered on further education.

Finally, Will the Robot wore me down and I agreed to speak with an "employment counselor". Surprisingly, she was human, polite and easily agreed to end our conversation when I explained that I wasn't interested in furthering my education at this time.

I'm now afraid I'll have to abandon my email addy because Will The Oily Salesman is probably going to sell/rent/give my addy to the world -- and so I'll be getting bombed with spam email from this point.

DON'T get pulled into this poor excuse for employment help!

Gigats is hi-jacking legitimate job postings and pretending that they are theirs-I wasted 45 minutes of my life yesterday on the phone with Will- I came right out and asked him if he was working for online colleges and he said no, that they get paid by employers for screening their appicants and said he would send me 3 job postings a day- surprise, havent received any from him-- Instead his advisor that I had to speak to was an online school representative and so far I have had 5 phone calls and emails from these prize schools-I am 63 tears old- I was just looking for a simple job- On craigslist, I almost got scammed by a Nigerian-for the love of God, what has happend to our world that these losers can lie and manipulate people and get away with it!!!!!

I did apply for a job online for electrician in Washington DC,and they scheduled a phone interview for next day. I called the number and they asked abou my education, high scool and college not pertaining to the job application. I told them that I have an electrical engineering degree from Europe but I just need to continue the interview for electrician position in Washington DC . He asked me if I want to receive daily emails about jobs and rate those jobs. I just want to talk about my application not many jobs for next months. After that he hang up on me.

That was my interview with Gigats.

Gigats is a scam! They call you (or you call them) after applying for a job application on line, and they shove higher education down your throat.

William Sanchez asked me at least 5 times if I would go back to school if it was paid for, if I had a job, if I had the time, etc, etc. each time I said no, he would change the wording and ask again. Also adding in that furthering mt education would increase my chances of getting a better position.

Finally he dropped it, and said he would send me an email so I could complete the job application. well what a surprise? no email received from him, so I called him back the next day and he blamed it on my email server and said he would send it again. well, still no email.

Run away from these people...its a big scam.

You go into a employment board and start applying for a job that you think is the business. The next thing you know you have given GIDGAT your information, They act as if they are job recruiters, They set a time to call you then tell you they can get you placed by sending you leads everyday. The next ten minutes they try to sell you going back to school. Even after saying no they continue to hard sell. BIG WASTE OF TIME. See their name and log off site. Apply direct with companies.

This company is somewhat deceptive about the service that they offer.

They are a job matching service, but the jobs that they post are taken from other sites - neither original nor exclusive.

Also, they set up the system to block you from proceeding with the application until you call them.

They ask many questions that are not relevant to you getting jobs sent to you, and then they ask you about furthering your education.

There is nothing wrong with a person needing or wanting to further their education, but I don't need them to tell me or ask me about that.

I can figure that out on my own.

They are not one of those services that bombards you with unsolicited phone calls, so that is good.

But I don't need the hassle of spending 30 minutes on the phone with a stranger who tells me a bunch of junk and asks

me so many questions ... useless service!

Initiated online app with jobs2careers.com. After entering personal info such as name, address, phone, I was redirected to another page that instructed me to call a toll free number in order to complete my registration. I spoke with a gentleman named Will. Will asked me for the phone number I had entered on the application. After "verification", Will went on to explain that gigats was a company that was used for pre screening purposes. Unfortunately for Will, he was unable to even verify for me which company/position I was in fact applying for...call ended! I next called the company for which I was applying and spoke with a representative that confirmed my suspicions of fraud.

I believe that Gigats is using simulated computer voices to pose as real people when you call them. The responses I got, came after a pause each time. I challenged the computer voice and I got some repeat canned answers. I said “am I talking to a computer?” The voice said “I am sure I sound very scripted.” I asked about the weather and he said: "I am in Orlando." I asked about the weather again and they hung up on me. Just challenge them.

Talk about something unrelated. Talk about current events. Talk about the weather. Then see how the simulated computer voice answers you. They might just hang up on you also.

I do not think they use real people for the first phase of the screening. I don’t know about the second phase because they hung up on me before the second phase.

Gigats.com is a TOTAL SCAM!!! I went online to a job fair website and gigats.com commandeered my application process. In the middle of the application process I was halted by a message instructing me to call 1-866-483-6652.

After 45 minutes of taking down my information, the representative refused to give me her name and direct phone number and swore she would send it to me in an email along with the direct link to the job I was applying for. She asked me to hold on while she connected me to her “supervisor” who turned out to be someone trying to get me to sign up for colleges when I specifically told the rep I was not interested in talking to college recruiters! I called them back THREE TIMES!!! The representative claimed she couldn’t help me without the original interviewers name and phone number… WHICH SHE NEVER SENT ME IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! She continued for 10 minutes her semantics and kept me in a perpetual loop of nonsense that got me nowhere!!! GIGATS.COM IS A SCAM; DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

Signed up for Gigats.com as I have recently become unemployed. Found a posted job I was interested in. After hitting the Apply for job button I received an e-mail with a phone number to call for phone interview. Thinking it was an interview with the company I applied to I called. Lo and behold it was Gigats not US Airways. Representative Will S asked many questions then asked me if I wished to continue my education. After stating I did not he insisted I say I wanted to attend school within 1-2 months in order for him to process my application. He then transfered me to a representative Tara from The Art Institute. I was on the phone with her forever, after telling her I was unemployed and there was no way I could afford a 40,000 tuition she tried to transfer me to a loan officer. I quickly got off the phone and immediately went online to check reputation of school. They have a terrible reputation for ripping people off. I continue to get calls from school that I do not answer. Nothing about job I applied for. Gigats is not trying to help people find employment. They are trying to sign down on their luck people up for schooling they can not possibly afford. Stay away from Gigats and Will S

My story is the same as many other reports. I have recently become un-employed and if that is not emotional and financially disturbing as it is I was targeted by Gigats when I in good faith and honesty applied for a position that they posted at Costco as a membership assistance clerk. Job was bogus and all they wanted to do was connect me to an advisor to continue my education. I told Will S. that I could not even consider furthering education at this point because no money is coming in. I dont know how I am going to pay next months rent or buy food or gas to get to and from a job interview. This gigats company is completely fraudulant and preys on people that are already in such an emotional state and just made it worse to think you have been scammed or worse. Just wrong. They are the ones that should be out of a job and no money. Not people like myself who works hard and is very motivated and determined.
