Let the Internet decide... Put "leah traya mike kosyla" into google and notice the two sites that come-up... Rip Off Report and Scam Org. Hmmmm... Go ahead and search granite expo too and notice what you'll find. The jig was up and it was time to change the business name AGAIN... now it's time to watch-out for Granite and Kitchen Cabinetry.
Don't do it people! You'll regret it!

Let me tell you about Granite expo I hired this company as a contractor I bought my cabinets and Granite from them they went beyond what I expected not only did they design a great lay out for me but also walked me Thru the sole process they even helped me select new appliances for my kitchen I highly recommend this company they are wonderful to work with and on time with my project!

Granite expo has been around for many years, I remember my father used them back around 1986 one of the first and best granite companies. it sounds like this bad review is someone thats ling and trying to ruin there reparation. Granite expo Mike is second generation owner and soon to a third generation who ever this person is should be sued for what they posted. please I know this company and will continue to use them they are quick, professional and carry a full one warranty! Please do not let one stupid review make up your mind!
Yelp is a one sided website and if you do not advertise with them they will not allow good reviews they try to destroy business if you do not advertise with them so please be objective when reading reviews if you notice companies that advertise with them do well as there reviews allows come out to be four to five stars Yelp is now in federal court for allowing such unfair practices yelp is no better then gangster string to extort money from business!!!!
First, let me start by stating that I am not the first to fall victim to granite expo in south holland illinois. There are several lawsuits of record in cook county illinois and several consumer complaints of record with the village of south holland. Of course I wss not aware of any of this prior giving my money to this company.
In March 2014, I entered into an agreement to have Granite Expo install granite countertops in my kitchen. I had gone to two other stone fabricators. Granite expo bid significantly less than the other two for the same granite. That should have been a warning signal. But, I assumed the other two companies were overpriced. Little did I know this was Granite Expos way of getting a deposit.
They asked for 70% down and I refused. I have read reviews where they asked others for 100%!! I gave them $2600 on March 10, 2014. The first person I dealt with was Leah Traya. She also uses the name Evelyn Traya. So who knows her true identity. The second person was Mike Kosyla. Week after week they promised to install the granite.
Finally on April 16, 2014, they informed me that they could not install the granite for the contracted price. I asked for a refund. Week after week Leah and Mike promised to refund my money. Every day I was told the next day or the next week. They have both denied having any ownership interest and said the owner has to give me my refund. I have never seen this ghost owner and they won't give me his information. Get the picture? This is their mode of operation. Get deposits but perform no work.
To date,(July 8, 2014) they still owe me $1800 and they said they won't give me the balance unless I remove my comments from Yelp and other social media sites. What nerve! So beware of the rip off. They will undercut the competition, get your money and you will not get nothing but promises and lies in return.
My next step is the attorney general, lawsuit and criminal complaint. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GRANITE EXPO IN SOUTH HOLLAND ILLINOIS!
I know this company never would they do such a thing ! they did my top and I am soooo happy , I referred them many times and will recommend them to anyone Mike is very professional and wonderful person!

This report is a fake, people can say what ever they want to try to destroy and defame others on the internet ! Small businesses try to compete and if others get jello us as in this case they think they can write whatever they want to try to destroy others I hope whoever reads this has an open mind!

Mike Kosyla has been running scam countertop services for years and I was recently one of his victims. Previous business names are DISEGNO NATURAL STONE & CONSTRUCTION, Stonewerks, Granite Expo, and Granite and Kitchen Cabinetry. Do some searching around the Internet and you'll find all sorts of info about Mike and his "businesses."
Please serch around, Granite Expo is one of the oldest Granite Company's in Chicagoland area with over thousands of kitchens projects and many happy Customers it only takes one competitor to start writing untrue things on the internet our professional workmanship along with perfect installs speak for themselves.
This is a million dollar company! if you don't pay your bill you don't get your Granite Countertops!
Simple pay your bill! They also just donated over $100,00 to the Boys Club of America they have a great product and excellent craftsmanship. I use them over and over
These guys are on fire! perfect work on time and great to do business with. I used them before still the great work I expected! the staff very helpful, I would use them and recommend them to anyone. Really a great company to do business with.
