Green Grass Inc. Reviews

  • May 25, 2015

On April 7, 2015 we entered in a contract with Green Grass Landscape Co. to remove the grass in our back yard, and Nandina, and weeds.

I would like my job finished, using the correct materials, and the quantity we paid for.

This is how our contract read,

Lay approximately 949 sq. ft. of weed cloth in the area to be covered by decomposed granite.

Lay approximately 10 cu. yards of decomposed granite.

Outline bed areas with new steel edging approximately 100ft.

Lay 1 pallet of flag stone in areas specified by customer.

Haul off trash.

What we received was some type of material that looks like gravel with small stones in it, and maybe a half of pallet of flagstone. At first they were only going to deliver what looked like a partial pallet maybe 20 or so pieces, until I we questioned it, so they brought in a few more pieces. When I called the office to ask about the flag stone, I spoke with Mrs. Suarez, she said “that we were not supposed to receive a pallet of flag stone, and if that were the case, the pallet would cover our whole area”

They also laid weed cloth in the bed area where it was not supposed to be, and they never finished the steel edging.

I had the pleasure if dealing with the owner Himself Mr. Francisco Suarez- Pella. I felt like we had to babysit, this project, since he had an estimator that is no longer with them bid this project, he claimed it was not bid correctly, and he would have bid higher. There were plenty of comments made about how he is losing money and because the project was under bid. Another troubling detail was the delivery of the (so called) Granite. The truck driver arrived with 10 yards of material; to be dumped on the driveway. Which was fine as we had arranged it that way? Not knowing that that material may have the potential to crack the driveway. The driver let us know that it was not normal procedure to deliver 10 yards to be dumped on a driveway, but to deliver 5 yard at a time. We were not informed of this, and I would expect the professionals performing the work to let us know before the material showed up, or I would have never authorized the delivery. If not for the truck driver telling us of the potential hazard to the driveway they would gone ahead and dumped it. I immediately called Mr. Suarez; he came over to meet the driver, at that time he informed me that there would have to be two deliveries of 5 yards each, and expected me to pay an additional delivery fee.
