I am a senior citizen living in a senior retirement community. I bought an AC unit for my residence, which is for cooling and heating. I purchased this unity from Greenstar Home Services and Jeremy Prevost. I have a contract with them and every couple of months they call to see if they can squeeze extra money from me. One month I have an issue and let them come out. After checking the unit he informs me, that the coils on the outside, had mold, along with some bugs he found on the inside of the unit. He informed me that the coil either needed a special cleaner of need to be replaced, and the vents under the house might have an opening for the bugs to get in, along with informing me that the vents needed to be brought up to code. He called a manager and came up with a bill totaling $4,530.00!!, as he continued speaking to the serviceman I could hear him tell him he could cut the cost down to $2600.00. I live in a small modular home, and the unit cost me $6,000 three years ago. These prices were outrage! During this time a friend came in and mentioned that I should check with my home owners and possibly it would cover the mold problem. The serviceman, called back his manager and proceeded to explain that I want to wait two days, check with my insurance company, and get back to them. His manager spoke on speaker and told the service man so that I could hear him, that if I did not sign for the repairs that day, the price would be back to $4,530. They tried playing hardball with me even though I am a senior and on a fixed income.

Jeremy Prevost and his organization of THIEVES at Greenstar Home Services ripped me off and cost me thousands.

Jeremy Prevost of Las Vegas, Nevada is a Liar and CHEAT! He only cares about profit and will just steal your mooney. Greenstar home services of Las Vegas, Nevada are criminals who steal hard working peoples money. They will quote you one price but charge you another. Jeremy Prevost of Las Vegas, Nevada is a LIAR, CHEAT, FRAUD and CRIMINAL of the highest order. It's as if he trains his employee's in the art of the graft. They will happily lighten your wallet the first chance they get.

Jeremy Prevost is a liar and a thief !!! Then the criminal tries to intidimate you... ha... he barked at the wrong tree with that... Jeremy Prevost and Greenstar Home Services are scammers and liars, who take money and provide only bad services and fake promises. One of my A/C units at my property was broken on Sunday, July 30th and I have called and arranged a service visit with Greenstar Home Services on Monday, July 1, 2013. A technician came over to my property in the afternoon, same day. After cheking the units, he mentioned that capacitor and contactor of the broken unit was in bad condition and they need to be replaced. He also suggested installment of a part called Hard Start Kit that may extend the life of the unit a couple of seasons. He also mentioned that his Company could replace both units at a cost roughly about $3500 a piece + the amount I would be paying for the repair. Considering the information given to me, I have decided to proceed with the repair. He replaced/installed three items $307 a piece (According to HVAC Parts and Supplies Website, the retail prices of the parts replaced were; capacitor:$20, contactor: $8, and Hard start Kit: $10). I have paid a total of $1019. Following the repair, the unit appeared to be working, and I have paid the requested amount using my credit card.

I noticed however that the repaired unit is not working in the morning of Wednesday, July 3, 2013, and called the Company to schedule another appointment. The same technician came to my property, same day. After checking the unit, he stated that the fan motor was locked on and the condenser unit was damaged and suggested replacement of the whole unit as the best option. Since I was not satisfied with the explanation given to me and the cost of replacement was substantial, I wanted to seek for second opinion. I asked the technician to remove the parts he installed on Monday and refund the payment I have made excluding the diagnosis and tune-up fees. Upon his refusal. I asked him specifically to leave any parts he installed on the broken unit and declined his offer to replace the whole unit.

I have talked to one of the managers over the phone, and explained my position and asked him to refund the amount charged on my account. He told me that he would look it in detail and get back to me on the same day. Since the following day was Independence Day, I couldn't do anything but to live through July 4th at above 110 F temperatures. I have called the same manager on July 5, 2013 twice to discuss the issue further but I was told that he was not available on both occasions.

A second Company has visited my property on July 5, 2013 to asses the broken unit. When they inspect the unit, they noticed one of the parts replaced, the capacitor was missing from the unit for some reason. They also noticed that the second item replaced was not the correct one (a single-pole one rather than a two-poled one).

On Monday July 8th, the General Manager of the Company called me back and we discussed the issue. He offered to replace the unit for a price tag of $2950 + $1019, equaling to $3969. Since I had a price quote for replacement of the unit for about half of the price offered by him, I declined. He then offered me to replace the fan motor for free of charge, stating that it may put the unit in working condition. After going through the written statements made by Green Star technician and two other technicians, I came to conclusion that the replacement of the fan motor would be a waste of time, and prolong my family's one week no-A/C ordeal even further

Eventually, I got the unit replaced with a brand new one with a price tag of $ 2000 by another Company. As of July 9, 2013 my A/C service was restored to where it was supposed to be with a payment of $1019 to Green Star Home Services for nothing in return and a payment of a $2000 for a brand-new unit to restore the A/C service to my property.

As summarized above, the handling of my A/C service request by Greenstar HS has not only failed to repair the broken unit but also caused a damage on the condenser of the unit which was assessed as in fair condition the Company's technician on his July 1st.

Worst Las Vegas Company Ever.

Run away from Jeremy Prevost and his band of merry thieves. This is probably the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of running into. They only want to rip you off and are not honest with quotes.

Please stay away from this company and find a better Las Vegas HVAC company to fill your needs.

Our air conditioner unit stopped blowing into the house this past week. We called up green star home services and decided to give them a shot. When the repairmen showed up he went straight into our attic. He was up their for only around 40 minutes and he tool pictures of the unit. He told us the coil needed to be replaced and we quickly asked him if maybe he only needed to clean it. He told us that the cost of replacing the coil would be prohibitive and we would be better off just getting a new unit all together. I wanted to get a 2nd opinion since this could end up being very expensive.

We called up a second company that i will not name and they sent someone over the next day. The second company told us he could clean the coil and worse case we could replace it for under $500. This is way less than greenstar home services quoted us for a new unit. We lucked out with just getting a cleaning which cost us under $200. If you want to get ripped off then call greenstar home services since they only care about new sales.

Stay away from jeremy prevost and this company. They just want to steal your money and rip you off. They do not care about customers and only about money.

A couple elderly friends of mine, located in my old neighborhood recently had a mainline sewer blockage. Greenstar Home services came out and got the blockage to flow. They did not use a cabling machine which would have cut the roots out of the first 6-7 ft. of pipe. After 6-7 ft. of pipe, it is clear. No off sets, no breaks, no roots, no bellies. They sold my friends a pipe reliner to the tune of $8,750 as $125.00 per ft. at 70 ft. distance. Then they changed an angle stop valve + $218.00, Changed a lavatory faucet + $477.00, Cabled 2" drain line + $218.00. Total bill....are you sitting down??? $9,286.00 . But Wait...There's more!!! They're coming back tomorrow, to reline the inside of the house for another 5-6k. They gave them a discount. Or so they said. No break down of parts or labor. Charged them for 70 ft. of liner, only did 67 ft. Be interesting to see what they do tomorrow. I have both videos, reciepts and approxiamately 10 pictures. After contact several plumbing contractors, I've found pipe relining usually runs anywhere between $80-$105 per ft. After doing all the calculations, at the max of $105.00 per ft, and at 67 ft. the total comes out to $7,035 + the installs = $7,948. And while I strive to protect my friends, I realize there are crooks everywhere and sooner or later they'll get taken to the cleaners too. Then again...maybe Kcal 9 may be interested in this little story. Ripping off the elderly is a big no no.
