Holiday Systems International Reviews

When it sounds to good to be true you can count on that with HSI! I am a Vietnam Disabled Veteran (90%) and my wife is retired and had a minor stroke a couple of years ago. All we can and want to do is enjoy the few years we have left.

We joined HSI in 2006 thinking we were adding to our existing Timeshare portfolio. Little did we know how wrong we were. At first all seemed well with the great site in Mexico and all that they said happens and all that is (was) to come. The only thing that ever came of our membership was many failed attempts to use most oftheir false misleading promises.

We banked two quality weeks (red seasons, 4 and 5 star resorts) of time share and after more than two dozen attempts to try and use the weeks we are about to lose one on21FEB211 and the other on 04JUL2011. We finally decided to book when HSIhadopenings where we could afford to get to.There was nothing we could use for the one expiring and the other is a real example of a company that only cares about getting more from the suckers they have their hooks in!

We gave a Wyndham red week at a hard to get into site (Dolphins Cove) in Anaheim, CA including the 4th of July. All we wanted was an equal site atWyndham in Oceanside, CA. They not only wanted their $65.00 (a very good exchange rate) but an additional $100.00 UPGRADE fee! On top of thatour $99.00 annual dues (not yet expired) must be paid to be able to book the site. The manager (Alex) said he would give us one year of annual dues free if we took advantage of their offer. All I asked for was to allow the time share we were about to lose be extended to the end of 2011 so that my wife and I might be able to book a site on the Big Island where it seems they do have space later in the year. The answer to this simple thing (done by RCI all the time) was they could not. But he still wanted to give us their offer. I said no, it was time to let this all go.

After well over $2,000.00 we were able to spend one week in the resort in Mexico (when they had time, not really when we wanted to) and nothing else. The ""Pay our timeshare week"" never happened after many failed attempts. The best Cruise and airfare deals (though at time were reasonable) were not any better than what we could (and did) on our own. The exchange nightmare is stated above.

We sure hope and pray consumers will wise up to this kind of false business actions. If there is some way for anyone to contact me I will be more than happy to show all the documented things stated in this complaint.

As always, buyer beware!!

God Bless.
