Homestar Property Solutions did not pay me for contracted services for property preservation of bank owned properties. Like most vendors, we had a good report for 4 years prior to the company changing from Energy to Homestar. I Payments fell behind and eventually stopped. I would contact them with them saying "we will pay you but can not forecast when you will be paid." none the less i still have not been paid it has been 11 months since the jobs were completed. I do call them and email them often with hate emails letting them know how I feel about not being paid and the distress they have caused my family. I will try my best to make it an uncomfortable work environment for all who work there and second guess their career path. If they have enough animosity the company will eventually implode.

This is a company that will rip you off , sign contracts on jobs tell you what a good job you are doing and then not pay you.

They tell you that they will pay you if you take less than they contracted for . Sounds like this is a tactic they use on most all

Contractors that deal with them. If you call the office the will not answer and they don't return calls . The person in accounting talks a good game but will not send you a check . They are good at telling stories , the guy in port st lucie is full of shit and plays the game as does the office . This work is hard enough and they don't pay that good anyway and then they come up with the excuse that they didn't get paid from there client . They say they are in a lawsuit and are waiting on a settlement to pay vendors and they will tell you that they always pay their people but by the amount of complaints I see on here I am not the only one who didn't get paid. They owe me 25k right now and the only way I see getting anything from this Deadbeat company is to take legal action . They use contractors don't pay them burn bridges and then just move on tho the next one. They should be put out of business for these practices , this is a bad company . STAY AWAY from them I wish I did.

Not Paid

Completed work for HomeStar in Oct 2013, still have not received a penny. I did finally get an email in March stating that they are starting to get in partial payments on their receivables and they can not pay everyone at once. They owe me $1075.00 for almost a year now.

Signed.....

Another SCAMED Contractor

P.S. Anyone looking to take legal action, please count me in!

Homestar property solutions does not pay their vendors. We have been waiting over 60 days for payment. They dont answer the phone or respond to email. Last communication I had I was told I would be put on a list of unpaid vendors. They want you to hurry and place bid and finish the job for them not to pay you. They had the nerve to ask if we would do another job for them? BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE.

They have been ripping off contractors all over the place. They also try and play phone games and make up rules as they go to try and get out of paying you. They are a scam they have robbed thousands of dollars just from me. There are other contractors out there that we have heard they did the samething to. Nothing but scam artist who try and bully you. I am a small woman owed company and I feel they are taking full advantage of me.

I hope someone can do something soon. I also plan on putting liens on the properties that I did work on hopefully then they will pay. They also will try and tell you what the county codes are but trust me the people at Homestar do not know what they are talking about for I have talked to each county that work was done in and HomeStar was wrong. They also will break the there own contract so be aware they will rob you blind.

I performed work on many properties for Homestar. After all work was done and payments were due they claim they did not have all the paper work filled outto make a payment to me. I filled out paper work and now 7 months later still no payment. I am a small woman owned company. I have all documents, photos and emails to show that work was done and approved for payment. I just never received a payment and now they either ignore me or pass the phone around and never give me a answer. they took me for over $12,000.00 They are a bunch of scam artist. I have even told them I have all documents and they said it did not matter. This place is a huge SCAM and they are doing it to many contractors all over.

We are a property preservation comppany that was in a contractual agreement with HomeStarLLC. They assign properties for various preservation work and approve the work to be completed. Per our contract, HomeStar is supposed to pay their outstanding invoices within 45 days. We have not received payment as of todays date from work performed in January 2015. I have made several attempts to contact HomeStar via email and phone calls. My contractors that performed the work has time stamped photos and invoices to prove their completed work. On March 27th, 2015, I was able to find Mr. Breese through LinkedIn. I sent a nice email to him and the CFO, Mr. Hozie regarding the attempts and innvoice situation. I did not receive any response. I posted the issue in a group on LinkedIn and learned that not only was this not a suprise but I was able to obtain a cell phone number for the CEO Micheal Breese. I made attempts to reach him by phone and to no avail no returned calls, nothing. I sent a text message in which he responded ( i will include screen shots but may need to try and cover his cell phone number) so rudely, he tried to bully me. He then went further by accusing me of contacting his clients and that there was a fine involved of $1000 and he went on in his feeble rant. In reading other post and google report again, this company decevies others with a contract as if they are going to pay. I also read in our contract that they want you to mediate with them initially before any court proceedings. I am amazed and appalled that they have been getting away with not paying for services provided. I am fully aware of the preservation process and I am sure their clients are not aware of the fraud they are committing which explains exactly why they prefer mediation. I also learned that they try and settle for an amount less than they owe to bully there way through which is deceptive. I am NOT settling, no other resolution other than for them to pay their outstanding amount. I will now complete the BBB report as well as the IC3 report with the FBI and Consumer Protection agency as well as our Attorney General. Mr. Breese you will not get away with your crime this time!

I performed work on 2 houses initially, which they paid me for the work completed. They then had 2 more jobs during which I was given 1 more large job. Being I was working on all 3 jobs, I had time and money into the large job. Upon completeion of the 2 smaller jobs, I submitted for payment which at that time the "net" payment time frame was 30-45 days. I had completed the large job and still was waiting for payment on the 2 small jobs but was only approaching the 45 day timeframe. After this it all went down hill. The project manager I had on the 2 small jobs stopped responding to my calls and emails, I still didn't receive payment on those jobs as well as the other large job was starting to become close to a month due and the project manager that was my contact on that job left the company. I now was owed 20k and wasn't getting prompt replies and when I did get someone to respond or talk to them on the phone I was informed that the work i had done was for clients that owed them millions and they couldn't pay me til they received payment from them. I started to dig into the owners of the properties and found that the 2 smaller jobs were Fannie Mae owned homes, so I proceeded to file an "intent to lien " on the property. Once this hit Fannie Mae I suddenly get a call from HomeStar that they wanted to pay for those jobs.... I guess maybe Fannie Mae didn't owe them money like they said. I am still; 8 months after I completed; the large job which means I am owwd $11,400. They contacted me in June and wanted to offer a "settlement"...of $7500...wth. did I only do 65% of the work? So we negotiated back and forth for a month and I finally was going to accept $9000..thinking I will at least get something. I sent back their waivers and acceptance of payment to which I received an email that they had reallocated the funds because it took me 2 weeks to get the info back to them. I now know d**n well that they weren't going to pay me that money. i have been sending correspondence to my contact there for the past month and get NO response. I have now decided to get info out there that these guys are ripping people off, as well as I will get my money thats owed to me. I will go to government agencies, news channels and what it takes. I can't afford to work for free and I know there are others out there that have been duped too. Just as there are contractors that rip consumers off there are contractors, people and businesses that rip contractors off, this can't be tolerated..nobody can afford to give up their money whether it is in cash or in time, labor and materials.

I was called to finish a project they were having trouble completing due to irresponsible contractor. due to my prior experience with Energy REO i dropped what i was doing and ran right out. they always paid and on time so i had no problem with helping them out. I finished the job and submitted an invoice. they called me acouple weeks later with 3 more items needing done on the same property. once again ran and completed new garage door opener etc. I submitted another invoice and waited. they were so thankful. that was july 15, 2014 completion it is now march 13, 2015 my invoice is only $1200. thats pretty bad to not have the capacity to come up with 1200 bucks. I always pay my subs on time, i dont have them work for me unless i have the money first. Dont work for them!

Stay Away

This company has owed me over $20k for well over a year. They are not worth wasting your breath on and need to be shut down asap. They are stealing from hard working contractors nationwide with no fear of legal engagements because most quit before the price they are owed equals what it would cost in court to dispute. Us contractors nationwide should file a class action suit against them and put them out of business forever. Any takers? I'm ready!!
