Hoosier Tradewinds Reviews

This company is the biggest ripoff! They have people recruiting drivers lying to you telling you an exact dollar amount or a close amount of what you will earn weekly.

First of all its a small supposed to be christan company which only has maybe a little over 50 drivers. Well let's start here...I went over to this job because it seemed to be a very good job according to the recruiter. Well was I wrong! First of all you will be told you Will stay on their property for orientation. (which is the basement) of what appears to look like someone's home. They say they give you 3 meals a day but truth is breakfast and dinner are microwaved foods. Well lunch u get a sub. Well orientation is 3 days and pays $100.00. Long story short...You pick your truck out Monday, go to work by Thursday with that $100 orientation pay. That first week you will not be paid!

I asked on the first day since you all are such a small company...when do we meet the owner? They never replied. Anyway I was there 3 weeks and ran every load I could and the pay did not add up!! @ 1.50 a mile 2300 miles is about all you will get but only see maybe $400 for the week!! I'm tired of writing but I could go on and on!! Do yourself a favor if offered this job....STAY AWAY!! I,promise you probably better off where you work now!!

Several reports about this company has been removed or no longer showing. Look at the gap in the reports. There were over 25 reports at one time about this company. Let me refresh the list of unusual activities that this company practices.

1. The equipment that they want you to lease is in such bad shape that it will probably breakdown on your first trip costing you hundreds of dollars.

2. They will stop payment on your payroll check at any time. And they will jump from one bank to the next after they close their account.

3. They will not return any escrows at the time of seperation with the company because they will come up with bogus damages that you have caused to the equipment. They do this to all drivers and they dont fix the so called damages from previous drivers. They just state the damage, take the driver's money, and throw another driver in the truck.

4. You have to watch your payroll very close...they know how to steal your money right under your nose without you knowing it. But when they get caught... they claim they made a mistake, or they had you coded wrong in the computor.

5. According to the contract, they will keep your last two paychecks until the end of the 45 days. You have to pull teeth in order to get those checks. Plus they will block your number in their phone system and never answer your calls or they will automatically transfer your call to a dead trunk that no one never answers.

6. Numberous calls have been reported to the local Sheriff's Department. They will advice you that there is nothing they can do for you, They will tell you to seek an attorney and that it is a civil matter. They will tell you that there has been numberous calls about this company and their advice is take them to court.

7. Upon termination of contract they will put false information on your DAC report.

8. When they suspect that you are fed up and ready to quit, they will intentionally keep you from returning to their terminal or garage. even though you gave them a noticed, They will keep you out as long as they can because they know they will keep your last two checks.

9. This company claims that it operates under Christian principles and they have a Bible verse on the back of their trailers...Go figure.

I hope this information will help you out. Please do not be a victim to their nonsense. Trust me. I hope the previous drivers notices that all those reports throughout the years are no longer being displayed and will repost their bad experiences. I lost about $15,000.00 with this company and did not work for them a whole year. Please be careful when choosing a company who you wish to drive for.

When i tried to leave tradewinds after giving proper noticee they became upset and sent me further away from the terminal in a teempt to make me miss my bus for my new job. to make a long story short the night dispatcher had me leave my equipment in a place that he selected nd leave the keys in the unit locked up. well i did just that and caught my bus to my new job. tradewinds reported that i abadanoned the equipment which is a out right lie. they wont put it on my dac report but they tell potential employers via phone, Drivers no matter how desperate you are for a job please pass this company by. they are liars and theives that sell you trucks ready for the scrap yard and pay you with bogus checks that bounce

I started working for this company 04/23/2013. I got my truck on 04/25/2014 drove fine intil 3 days after I got it. 1st issue with truck was leaving home truck wouldnt start due it never read it was in neutral. After 3 hours resetting the computer finally could read it was in neutral. Not a week later blow fan blade apart. Sat for 2 days in Milford Ct pilot ts. Found local shop to repair took them 1 hour to replace fan shroud and blade got billed 3 hrs for work. Finally got it into ahop after complaining about it sticking or jamming up in gears and not being in the right gear.

Had a whole lost of repairs needing done nothing was repaired but the trans. Left got 100 miles diwn the road and jammed in gear again. This became a normal deal until it started down shifting in to gears lower then needed. Until one day it down shifted so far down it over heated motor and blow out radiator. Spent 2 days in motel over it after being towed. New XY shifter installed worked fine until I had a flat and truck was taken to their shop and bam issues started again.

Got home one weekend and went to leave was jammed in gear again wouldnt start and again. Local tow truck driver wiggled truck and it popped out of gear. Took to a different dealer was told the batteries was issue 5 days later. Went to get truck and same crap wouldnt start. Dealer replaced wiring harness and it worked great. This compay paid close to 20k in fixing this truck. TA ts did a serve on truck and drives shoes was close to DOT SPECS ON OOUT OF SERVICE ORDER. Was routed back to Westfield Indiana to their shop. On a Saturday shop gaive lame excuse they couldnt repair it that day. Got a loaner I didnt wanna take motor blow up a week later.

Called about my truck with company no one would tell me nothing . Guy in breakdown final made enough noise that owner called me at home. Told me he was sorry but they sold my truck by accident. He would make it it right with me. Ben Cook would never call back over this truck. Funny my truck was there on Saturday and cleaned out that monday so how was this by accident. Now for anyone wanting to know I have contacted laywers and filing on Tradewinds. So if you want involved please contact me through here in replies
