Ripoff van purchase

Purchased a van on ebay which was described as "runs drive great". Since I live over 300 miles from Levittown and could not personally examine the van I called was assured I could drive it coast to coast without any issues. I even offered to pay a mechanic for a tune-up or other possible concerns and was told this wasn't necessary. There are so many issues wrong the van will never pass DMV inspection and has extensive rust including the leaf springs which are about to give way. They wanted to give me only a portion of my money back and have me pay to have it returned to Pennsylvania. Not acceptable!

We won this suv on ebay, set a day to pick it up. Upon arrival as i was inspecting the vehicle i noticed leaks under the vehicle...Immediateley the owner, andei losev claimed that it was a power steering overflow hose wasnt placed back in the right place, andrei said it was mechanic error. I proceeded to ask why the bottom of the seemed wet and he claimed it was because they wash the engine and thats why it was damp, obviously that was the first lie.I decided to go on a test drive, while test driving the vehicle the check engine light came on. I told the andrei i would not proceed forward with the purchase, as i am telling him this he says oh no i will make it right its just a cyclinder misfiring due to a spark plug.Andrei then volunteered to change all eight spark plugs and sent one of his guys to purchase them.

As we waited he said once the spark plugs are changed the check engine light will go off and all will be fine. I believed him to be honest as he had 400 positive feedbacks on ebay.

The guy returned they proceeded to changed the spark plugs, we test drove the vehicle again, and again the engine light came back on.He proceeded to once again hook up the code reader and now it was showing two cylinders misfiring.Again i was about ready to leave and he called his mechanic to check things out before i left. They came to a conclusion that after replacing the new spark plugs the mechanic made the wrong connection with the plugs and after correcting the problem the check engine code were now gone.Being the type of person who gives someone the benefit of doubt i decided to go ahed with the purchase and took the suv home.

Upon returning home i noticed it needed an oil change, i took it to my local mechanic who has been in business over 40 years. Upon picking the truck from the oil change the mechanic told me i had some leaks going on the worst being a power steering fluid leak and that i had to address it sooner than later. When asked what the other leaks were,he stated he would have to do further diognostics to find out where the leaks were comimg from.Upon returning home i noticed fluids gushing from the power steering reservoir.I immediately took the truck back and asked him to fix the problem right away and to go ahead and check the other leaks.About 2 hours later he called me back and basically told me this truck was in pretty bad shape and to make it road worthy it would cost me allot more than the $2200 i had paid for.Now it started to make sense why the bottom of the truck was so damp and how deceitful andrei had been just to try to sell a car.The intake manifold gasket needs to be replaced, the power steering hose and pump and thats just for starters.Just that alone is enough to junk the truck.

I then called andrei losev who proceeded to scream thats a lie! i told him look these repairs are so much i will have to basically junk the car. He said i will call the mechanic and see whats going on on thursday, this was monday.

Wednesday i recieved a call from brian whiteVery well spoken calm and collected professional individual) who claimed i would only be dealing with him proceeding forward, he called the mechanic and did get an estimate on thrusday and called me friday offering to pick the car up and have their mechanic look at it but i would then have to return to levittown pa and inspect and pick up the vehicle. I told brian right about now i had lost all faith in this company and the only acceptable resalution would be for them to pick up the truck and return my money back.He stated that as a company they had to follow procedures one step at a time and the first step was to pick up the truck.I once again told him that was unacceptable. After talking to my wife about wether to give them another chance to make it right, i decided to give these guys the benefit of the doubt again and said ok let me consider letting u fix it, however you will have to return it to me and i will have to let my mechanic inspect it before taking the truck back if he finds nothing was done or its not good i want my money back. I never got a yes, i got a we will work on it.

After pondering this option and thinking about everything that could possibly go wrong since i had already placed the vehicle in my name registration insurance, etc. I decided to let him know that the only suitable way for them to make this right was for them to pick up the vehicle and give me my money back...He text me and said as i said before-step by step. If you want this to be done simply and fast we both need to follow procedure. I worked the delivery out for you. We will pick it up and deliver it back once its fixed.

I didnt answer him because how could i possibly trust these people anymore then i already have. But after receiving a bunch of these bad reports they are still in business so i guess the cockyness is apparent. So buyer beware dont get fooled by the good feedback on ebay these guys are your typical sleezy used car business that cant be trusted.Dont makethe 2200 dollar mistake i made.
