Hunter Fan Reviews

I bought a Hunter Ceiling Fan three years ago and it has given me electrical problems ever since. The fan started to make very loud humming noise and would not stop. Hunter said that this was consistent with the model #20714 fan I purchased from Home Depot. They replaced the light module three times without question as they admitted it was defective. It is again humming louder than ever before and I am concerned about an electrical fire and I brought it up to Hunter Customer Support and they would not answer. I have call them back three times over the past month telling my complaint only to be put on hold and my call dropped every time. I even wrote the CEO John Alexander weeks ago and not even a courtesy response. Hunter Tech Support finally emailed me and said they knew what part was defective and they had it in stock and would sell it to me for $25000.00. Yes, you did not misread, it was $25K plus $9.99 shipping . I have it in their email. Is this a slap in the face? When I sent the letter via US Mail to the CEO it had copies of all correspondence and he has not answered me back yet.

They obviously will not stand behind their Defective Product and are ignoring me. Since it is defective is it also dangerous and could it possibly cause a fire in my home? I am completely disappointed in Hunter Fan Co. I would have thought that an American Company of this caliber would not resort to these kind of tactics. I can see why people are turning to Chinese Produsts, they might be inferior but they have no additional problems that our American Companies who are starting to produce substandard products like Hunter Fan Co. at two to three times the cost of the Chinese Imitation.

Do yourself a favor, don't by a Hunter Fan, they could be dangerous and Hunter does not care.
