Incompetant company!!! Our non-profit pet rescue organization has been using Ipage.com as both a web host and to obtain our domain name for the past several years with minimal issues until recently when I attempted to log on to our website and to the Ipage.com site, to no avail.
After speaking with a very unhelpfull telephone representative, I was told that our domain name and website had expired less than one month ago. I was also told that our domain name is currently in a redemption period whereby we could redeem our name for a $160 fee, however, we could not restore our web page.
I spent numerous hours building our organization's web page. Not only did our web page have information pertaining to our rescue organization, it also contained photos of all of the dogs we previously adopted, a paypal button, a Facebook button, and much, much more.
Our organization was never sent a renewal notice or any other type of notice warning us that our web page and domain name were in jepardy of expiring. We were never sent any email notices, never received any phone reminders or hard copy notices through the mail.
After speaking to the telephone representative for about 20 minutes, I received absolutely no resolve. I was not offered a discount for future services, not offered assistance in rebuilding our web page, not offered an apology, not offered empathy. In fact, I was not offered anything at all in terms of helping our non-profit pet rescue organization re-establish our web page. I was merely told that our website was gone.
I am disgusted with the lack of assistance from Ipage.com and the lack of customer care that I would have liked to receive. If the rep I spoke to showed the least bit of customer service, I may not have written this report.
I wish I would of read the reviews before I payed to get ripped off and hassled. PLEASE, save youself the hassle. It is a complete rip off and there is NO support.
This comapny is a joke and major scam. i went to there site price is 1.00a month for the first term.I go in to chat and start asking queston the first one was how long is a term the ladt tell me they have 1 -2 and 3 year terms i asked if i can apply the 1.00 amonth to any of the three trems she said yes then gave me prices that did not match the 1.00 amonth. she also tells me that seo is included for free.
i get online later to sign up and its not allowignme to set uop 2 or 3 year term and it wants to charge me for the seo. i then open another window and go back to the home page where the price is now 1.99 a month . and there it allows me to set up a 3 year term but again the prices dont match. so i desided im not usign this company soemthign is not right.
i get two eamails from then offerign me a ""SPECIAL"" price since i was unable to finishign signing up. there special price is 1.99. i repliied back that i did not sign up due to the diffrences in prices and now being charged for the sec that i was told in chat was free.i get a replytellign me i was offered a 3.00 a month special price for 3 months then 45.00 per year after that so toe years will be 47.67 and three yeas would be 71.64 . but this is not allowed for a annual plan. this lady also told me they do not give free seo in there site. the last reply from them was they change the price due to the needs. ??? thats go me confused so if u need a new car this month i get charged more?
how can i be charged annualy if its not an annual plan? why do there math not ad up? 3 diffrent emails 3 diffent checks and none was the same price. they say they trian there staff really good well from what i see they dont. they charge you for doign what you can do for free with seo. stay away from this company they are major scammers. and will rip you off.
