He no showed for the court case, and a Maclean county judge awarded Bratchers the judgement. (which they will never see) Avoid this guy at all costs. This guy just got released from the Ill dept of Corrections for stealing 10k from a Bloomington couple. He now fancies himself a home improvement contractor. He does not finish any of his contracts, and also stiffs his subcontractors.
A quick google search will bring up his extensive criminal history. A rap sheet as long as your arm. From deceptive practice, to burglary and theft. If you search the local court websites, you will find he has judgements for nonpaying legitimate local subcontractors, in not only Maclean county, but surrounding counties also.
Heres a typical Jason Codding scam. You call him to repair your home. He meets you, tells you some lies, and gives you a quote. He asks for half the money up front so he can buy materials, etc. He then calls sub contractors to do the work. He in turn never pays them. He consistently lies to them, and you, until they take him to court. He never shows to the courtdates, and judgements are entered against him. Why does he care? the subcontractor paid the court costs, and he never pays the judgements. Oh, and your work never gets completed fully.
all in all, this guy belongs behind bars, not working on your largest asset.
