Love JR's Pups

We adopted our dog Leo from Jr's Pups and they were fantastic! They explained everything they knew about Leo and all the vetting he had gone through prior to coming to us. This rescue was very upfront about not always knowing the dogs' histories as they are rescued from Southern states and gave us the opportunity to meet as many dogs as we wanted to find our perfect match. Leo has been completely awesome and with proper training and exercise has become a very loved member of our family. Everyone at JRs was very kind and I am impressed that an organization of this size is completely volunteer based! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to rescue a dog.

We Got a dog from them. However they failed to tell us the dog's history. They Also said the dog was not destructive. In the 8 months we have had the dog, she had caused about $2000 in damage to our house. The dog has severe separation anxiety issues. When We leave the dog has to be kenneled or she'll destroy the house. We have lost curtians, chairs, carpet, large chucks of wall to name a few. All have been repaired. They also told us they would reimburse us for training expenses that never happened. They Also said they would follow up with us within a few weeks of getting the dog, we're still waiting for that visit/call, going on 8 months now. The kids like the dog the dog likes them, but she has cost us a lot of money in repairs and other expenses. By The way we have fine through 3 creates for the dog. We finally found one she can't escape from our doesn't chew up the tray or some other create damage. I will never buy another dog from this place EVER! They lied to us and lied big.

In defense of Jr's

The dog we got from JR's probably should have been watched a little closer prior to being adopted. We were not prepared for the dogs attitude. He was like puppy even though she was a bit over a year, Like yours she had separation anxiety. Not house trained. I took her for walks every day to use some of her energy up. In the 5 1/5 months we had her I tried working with her every day. She went from being afraid of strangers and cars going by, to being social with other people. I tought her to sit, stay, laydown, and push. Which she used to open the screen door when I was holding lots of laundry. When my husband worked nights she decided I was a play toy. I tried so hard to stop her from biting, and she was getting better a little at a time. In the mean time, I have over 40 scars on my arms from her wanting to play. Still I miss her so much. We too had some damage 2 pairs of glasses, every utensil, and grabbing some little nick nacks. This wasn't her fault , I left things out where she could reach them. Big Mistake. I had to return her to JR's she bit my granddaughter on the leg. My granddaughter got cornered by the dog. I miss her so much I just didn't have the ability to help her out. I don't think she was happy her also. I wonder about her everyday, and think of what I could have done beter.
