Contacted Key West Express to make reservations for 1/05/15 and asked pricing and promotions. Was told there were none and paid the full price $149.00/per person. Purchased tickets, and read the very next day the promotion was $99.00 per person.
Called and explained that I just purchased tickets late afternoon the day before, and was told there were no promotions. This article tha appeared in the newspaper had to be arranged a least a week before.
I asked for the lower price since I was told the wrong info less than 12 hours earlier. Treated rudely, discourteous, and told that if I wanted the lower price, which I should have received, I needed to cancel the reservation, using those 4 tickets at a later date, and purchase 4 new ones at the lower price.
I objected and was told that they had no idea there was a promotion, why was that, and how wrong is that.
I have emailed, called, and not treated very nicely.
I have traveled on Key West Express in the past, I am a local Ft Myers resident for many years, and happen to have met George Hilton many times at University Grill, and I am sure he would not appreciate having a customer treated in this manner.
They have been advertising every week their $99.00 special still looking for business I assume.
I just want the difference, which I should receive since their sales department did not inform me, or allow me to receive.
