Keynote Properties Reviews

  • May 21, 2015

In 2007 my ex wife and I rented a house from Dave Tobin. We had less than ideal credit and so entered into an agreement to put $5000 down along with our first and last months rent . Dave Tobin was supposed to take 10% of our rent for 2 years and use it as a down payment.

Our first clue that this was a somewhat disreputable business was after we signed but before we moved in we were asked to give a testimonial online. Long after he sued us the testimonial was still on his website. Clue #2 was when he asked us to post date 24 checks. We refused.

My my exwife and I separated in 2008 and I moved out. I found out later that I had a judgement on my credit. I wasn't notified that there was a court date or contacted by Dave Tobin. He served my exwife but not me.

A few months ago I called Dave Tobin to settle the judgement and as soon as I contacted him he filed a wage garnishment. I paid him the $4459 which was the entire amount of the judgement. He informed me that he wanted a additional $2500 for interest but that he would remove the judgement from my credit. It's been almost 2 months and it remains. I called the court last week and he filed paperwork to remove the garnishment but not the settlement.

I have ate never come across a more disreputable company than Keynote property or keynote judgement recovery
