I'm reporting Kimeka Peake Counselor of South Carolina Rehabilitation, because she's very unprofessional and the word need to get out about her services.
My husband and I been going to her offices for services offered to my husband after being incarcerated. He wanted to start in a path of entrepreneur and business owner, he also received information in mail while he was incarcerated on services offered such as business loans, grants, SSI, free tools/materials etc that said Vocational Rehabilitation offered for people whom was once incarcerated, we found out all of that was a bullshit lie and scam, so whomever sent this information to him lied.
His first session with Kimeka Peake was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL from day one. She had the door wide open while my husband and I was discussing private matters with her, she went into a long hair rant with me about natural hair VS relaxed hair (TOTALLY OFF TOPIC AND NOT RELATED TO MY HUSBAND'S CASE AT ALL), and my husband told her I was his wife, she got over to me and asked for the spelling of my name and when I mention my last name she said (I know he's your husband). I think this women is very unprofessional and how she handled this first session was very unprofessional.
His second session was suppose to be with a Michael Smith, instead they sent him to Kimeka Peake agian. My husband has been trying to call and get switched over to a male counselor and no luck, only the run around. We both believe in woman having female doctors, counselors etc and man having male doctors, counselors, etc for religious purpose. This session I walked out on and waited in waiting room. As my husband was leaving out of his session he informed Kimeka Peake on our baby to come, and she said something to me (I ignored her) and as we was leaving out, she started laughing in a sarcastic way. I don't know what this woman's issue is or maybe she want my husband, but she is unprofessional and there's things you don't do and say in a business setting. I called the main office later that day to speak to a manager, the rep that answered the phone was no help and rude, she also asked why I needed to speak to the manager (I told her it's none of her damn business) and I ended the call. I also, left word for the supervisor to call with the manager's contact information and I'm still waiting for my returned call now.
These people have been lying to my husband from day one and haven't helped him with any of his goals. I'm the one that have been helping my husband with his goals, since coming out of incarceration I've helped him start his own business, get his Driver's License back, sign up for Medicaid, sign up for SSI, and other programs that could be of help to him. Most of all I've been helping him become a better person and live his life in a honest good way as a changed man. These people at South Carolina Rehabilitation Department haven't did anything, but wasted his time.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND KIMEKA PEAKE AS A COUNSELOR OR SOUTH CAROLINA REHABILITATION DEPARTMENT FOR PEOPLE WANTING TO BECOME A ENTREPRENEUR AND BUSINESS OWNER, HOWEVER IF YOU WANT TO GET HELP WITH SLAVING AWAY AT MC DONALDS FLIPPING BURGERS, PUNCHING A CLOCK, ON A 9 TO 5 FOR PEANUTS, THAN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU LOL.
