First off I will say that as an American citizen, I am baffled that racism is still such a strong and driving force in our communities. Another black person crying racism? Nay, this is an actual account of just how evil and vindictive people are. My story begins with me leaving my job for a measley thirty minute lunch, I pulled up to a chipotle store that has a dirt open lot in front of it, pulling up I saw at least eight to ten other cars, so I decided to pull up in a spot that I saw vacant. There were no signs of do not park or even private property for the open lot. I parked, went inside, only to be told about a minute after entering that as soon as I left my car a lurking and evil tow driver hooked up my car to tow it away. Naturally I was surprised and ran outside to see the driver stealing my car away. All other patrons in the chipotle were white, all other patrons parked there long before I did, but a young black man, his car was towed away for no reason. With only a couple minutes left for my lunch, my work being a ten minute drive away, I started my journey back, only to see this tow driver sitting there with my car. So I approached him and asked him why would he tow my car and I was not even in the building for two minutes, and what about the other cars that were there before me. Where were the signs of the do not park for the open lot and why were the other cars not subjected to the same tow. The guy looked at me and smirked and said, if you want it back, pay 160. I was immediately upset and flabbergasted that this man would do something so shady, obviously driven by his hatred and contempt for young black men. All I was doing is to come from a job to merely replenish much needed nutrients. I stepped toward his truck and this man sped off with my car in tow. Scraping the back of my car as he went. All the other white patrons who were there who were parked in front never had to worry about there car being towed, but as usual, this caucasian male decided to prey his ilk on a young african american male looking for no trouble. I made the journey back to work in the rain and received a written warning due to returning late. Then I had to take off of work early to find out where my car was being towed. I finally found where it was, called up klaus towing to speak with the most unprofessional person in customer service, this woman was filled to the brim with attitude and nonsensical gibberish. Telling lies about why I could not receive my car at the time I asked for it, and why I was denied the name of whomever the owner of the property is that called the tow company. When I asked the tow truck driver why the other cars that were there before me were not towed, and I was, He snarkly said, because I have one truck. I went there at 4:56, four minute before they closed, only to see that the door was locked. I tried and called and went around to see that the light was still on, as soon as I came around again, the light was off. The woman who was supposed to be there intentionally locked the door early because she knew of the after hours tow pick up fee. In total I was overcharged upwards of 302 dollars, by a company that claims that it doesnt discriminate but does. By a company that drives off with people's property because they know they can. A young man in a city raising a young child, with all of what that comes with to be slighted by these greedy workers of evil. They are the underbelly of the devil, a cesspool of ethics that proves why us as americans can never and will never get along. I write this to bring awareness to their evil deeds, their illegal overcharging and their intentional blocking of vehicle pick up.
