AFFILIATED WITH PUPPYFIND.COM - STAY AWAY

Lancaster Puppies is part of a criminal network of people posting puppies for sale online--they are scammers and getting rich off the emotional purchase of a puppy. Anne Brown, Missy Castor, Chelle Hochstetler, and many more alias names that they use. I too was scam with a sick puppy and meet a man at the Sheetz in York, PA to pick up a morkie puppy. The breeder said you don't pay me any money until "I am standing in front of you with the puppy", then sends a scruffy thin man with a beard in a silver/gray minivan to deliver your puppy. You are to hand him an envelope with cash (of course) including sales tax (which I now know they are not paying) and he will give you the puppy and a health guarantee. That "health guarantee" is a piece of paper which is useless. For our puppy the birth date on the health guarantee was different than the birth date on the website. I don't even think it was the same puppy. Three days after we got the puppy he was diagnosed with Pavro virus. Contacted the breeder and, of course, she claimed he got the virus on our watch although admitted in her email that the incubation for the virus is 5-10 days. I told her I believe the cages the scruffy man transported the puppies in might have been contaminated. You would think she would be concerned. Didn't care about the puppy but mad that I called the man in the van scruffy. I waited six months and conducted a sting operation pretending to be an alias just like her. Agreed to purchase puppy and to go to York PA to pick up. Sure enough man in silver van showed up and we lie in wait. We were to meet him at 1:00 pm. He began calling our cell phone as did the alleged breeder leaving messages like "where are you, we are here waiting, can't wait much longer". We continue to watch and at 1:30 another puppy buyer pulled up and the man in the van got out and conduct the puppy deal. I hope that family didn't get a sick puppy too. The tag number for the Dodge Silver Van, is HJM 4198. He called himself Vince and his cell phone is 585-307-6676. The numbers the breeder called from are 814-516-4153 and 814-558-8371. I have hired a PI to run this tag and numbers. I am going to find these people and shut them down. I have also contacted the IRS, the State Attorney General's Offices in Maryland, PA, NY, and Ohio (since she is collecting sales taxes and I am sure not paying them). If you have not been a victim of this scam which I believe is multi-state with many alias - STAY AWAY. If you have been a victim, join me in shutting these people down. email me at [email protected]

Breeders

Always find a REPUTABLE breeder. Search and ask other breeders.

Suspicious

I recently replied to an add for a puppy and later found out that the puppy was listed on two different sites for two different amounts of money and the name was different but the picture of the puppy was the same. Needless to say I didn't follow through with the purchase. The people were amish and didn't have a phone and supposedly used a neighbour's phone. Now I won't even look at the add if it says Lancaster.

My family and I have been discussing getting a puppy for quite some time now, and in March of this year-2015 we decided our family was ready as we settled into our beautiful 3 story townhouse with plenty of room and 3 loving kids we looked on a website called Lancasterpuppies.com to purchase our first family puppy and boy were we EXCITED (that’s an understatement, we were ecstatic!!). We decided on a few puppies but there was one puppy who stood out most to us and a very nice Breeder who also stood out (we knew it was too good to be true or wasn’t it?! We didn’t think so! As she said all the right words and had seemed to advertise the perfect Yorkie- she named Nicki on the site. I contacted her, we exchanged many emails the week before we finally brought home Lilly and things seemed too good to be true, as we've already been faced with too many let downs in the past few years, we thought getting a perfectly healthy puppy would bring nothing but joy into our life. Well, were we wrong! Anne Brown, a puppy breeder from Ohio even offered to meet our family all the way in PA but the day of the meeting things started to get a bit "shady" to say the least, Before we drove 2 hours to meet in White Haven PA my significant other said to call the breeder again to just re-confirm even though we had done that all the night before- of course no answer when we were leaving to meet her. We drove the two hours, I made several calls to the phone number she called me from to have a man pick up (I thought she was meeting us, had no clue that the guy was) and tell me we were meeting at a McDonalds in the parking lot. Several families were meeting the man in the Silver 2014 Minivan and things were beginning to feel more like a "drug deal" rather than a puppy meeting. Mind you, we signed a contract before all this so I thought nothing could be wrong or go wrong that day and we finally got to meet our Beautiful now loving Princes Lilly- we had waited ALL week to meet our newest addition to our family- one of the happiest days of our lives! At first we thought she was just cold, we had a blanket with us for her, and maybe she was nervous meeting her new family for the first time but when we brought her home we noticed her awful cough, she had thrown up later that night and could barely walk- and refused to eat and I was terrified. I never saw a puppy not run around, even after a few hours- most puppies are playful, running around and being goofy but not ours and I began to panic-Could she be sick? That Sunday night she slept in the room with us so we could watch over her as we were frightened of her very noticeable sickness. I had emailed the breeder that night, of course asking her if Lilly was sick and got no response at first, the next day she tells me "She may have a case of Kennel cough- it’s a common occurrence (and not covered under her warranty of course) and it'll pass in two weeks no big deal”.... I never even heard of kennel cough before and looked it up- I was TERRIFIED at what I read! I was convinced Lilly had Kennel cough... well little did we know, it was worse. Lilly had pneumonia- the vet was so worried about her, they wanted me to take her immediately to the ER until she was stable (now two days of no eating, drinking, or anything not even walking- she was SO sick and I have never in my life saw anything so tiny ( she’s only 3 lbs. SO sick!). I contacted the breeder again, who refused to call me, mind you we're all a mess by now, my 9 year old-hysterically crying... we didn’t think Lilly was going to make it, I couldn’t believe my eyes or what we were going through. Long story short, Lilly has been on Anti-biotic and I’ve been nursing her poor self-back to health and she’s doing much better but could have died. All I asked from the breeder was for her to pay for $400.00 for the costs it was for the visit and the med's since she sold me a sick dog. She blamed it on the move and that the dog was supposedly playful and happy before we got her (NOT possible!) I just can’t believe people (Some breeders. NOT all) could be so heartless. I am a single mother with two kids, I’m also a college student and work very hard for everything I have and then to find the money for a puppy which alone is very expensive to care-for, she couldn’t even pay for the bills for SELLING US A SICK DOG? I had emailed the website Lancasterpuppies.com twice about the experience I had with buying Lilly and have yet to get a response.

At this point I can’t even take the women to civil court because I don’t have any address for her but a phone number and a name with as you can see above is a very common name and I couldn’t find anything on the internet about her either. She also went on to tell me her statistics that she’s sold thousands of dogs since 2003 and only 5o have been sick and that for a breeder that’s a good ratio- REALLY?!!? How could you sell any SICK dogs and not tell the person beforehand or take responsibility for this or TELL us beforehand so you could have made sure she was in good health like you claimed before we bought her? I still would have bought her; I would have waited until she was better... Our story of buying Lilly was a nightmare that had come true. Please people, Do your research! Ask for references; ask for the Breeders private information in case he/she breaks the contract. All I can think about is the other puppies sold from that van that Sunday afternoon- I should have gotten their information, I am sure their puppies had to have been sick too, it couldn’t have just been my puppy. Being a mom caring for two small children by myself (my significant other is not the father of my kids) and putting myself through school, then getting a puppy and at the least a SICK puppy who should have gone to the hospital- which would have brought her "sick bill" to 1,000's of dollars, is just too much to take in. I always give people the benefit of the doubt but in all reality, people don’t care, all they care about is getting rid of the pup they just bread and getting paid. The women didn’t even ask if Lilly got better or if she had to go to the hospital that night, NOTHING. Beware of this buyer, she advertised a healthy, loving, playful puppy and sent me several pictures and charmed me with her quick responses and her nice words about Lilly and how well cared for she was but in all reality she was a fraud, who sold us a very sick puppy who almost didn’t make it (hasn’t had all her shots and her immune system isn’t great without all her shots- and that’s all pups). I thought I did all my research on this before I jumped right into buying a puppy, but apparently I was blind-sided by a complete liar and thief, selling sick puppies. I pray the other families didn’t have to go through what we just went through.

Thankfully I think Lilly is doing drastically better but I know only time will tell. Beware of this buyer, named Anne Brown from OH offering to meet in OH & PA (Acting like 'she’s" doing you a favor) but "SHE" doesn’t even meet you, some man does and the whole thing is very shady. Please beware of this women, as our battle with this and Lilly's sickness has just begun but she will not "take my kindness for my weakness" someday Karma will come back, and hopefully Lilly is the last pup she will ever sell. Buying a sick dog is not at all fun, you get attached, your heart-breaks hoping and praying they will pull through and make it. It’s too much to even think about, I fear ever getting another dog again after this experience but Lilly is my baby- I love her so much already, we love her so much already… she’s all our family talks about and she’s brought so much joy into our lives in such a short amount of time but this experience was traumatizing for my family and I, and I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. People should NOT be allowed to get away with doing this to others, it’s awful and to do it so carelessly. Her last words to me were “That’s what you get for buying a sensitive dog”? I could go on and on about this, but the point is I will not allow this woman to take advantage of my family, and our sincere ways of wanting a family pet to complete our family. Buyers please beware and don’t let anyone take advantage of you the way we have been!

Thank you for letting me shares my family's story of buying from this Shady, no good breeder.

Jacklyn, Lilly-Bunny (her Nick-name) and family :)

Parvo pups Lancasterpuppies.com

My family and I bought a really cute cavapoop puppy on this site and 4 days later the dog was diagnosed with parvo, we spent $3000 trying to save her. The breeders name was Joe Troyer and we never got a refund. He lived in the Lancaster PA. Area. We met their driver at the top of NJ paid $2000 for the pup plus $150 for them to meet us half way. Other people getting sibling pups met at the same spot. Three other families. We left a message for a few days in a row and they finally called back and said that all we could do is get a different puppy. But we don't want a different puppy from them. Didn't trust them at this point. We live in Albany New York and met their driver in New Jersey on Aug 8th... About 4 weeks after our puppy died, we did make a trip down to their area for a work convention. We looked up their address and it was an Amish puppy mill. They didn't know who we were we stopped and asked if they had puppies and they said yes and we went in there and looked inside of what seemed to be a small barn. The dogs had concrete runs but they were filthy with feces and pee. The mom and dad dogs were filthy and matted. They had a few puppies but of course we didn't buy one and we did not tell them who we were. They just thought we were a drive by and convenient for us but they had a sign at the end of their yard that said they had poodle mixed puppies. We did report them to their dog warden after our visit.
