Language Course Marketplace Reviews

  • Nov 3, 2014

Do not use Language Course Marketplace, formerly Pimsleur Marketplace. I sent a comprehensive language course to them as part of a buyback program at the start of August. I used tracking so I know it was delivered. I tried to contact them over 20 times by phone. No one ever answers. I left messages but no one returns the call.

Evenutally, I emailed to a different address, [email protected] and somone forwarded me a link to submit for my $100 payment. They were supposed to confirm in 14 days. They never did, and despite many emails to the indicated email address, no one replied. I should have read the reviews first. They have been ripping people off for years now. I have all my documentation and I am going to try to file criminal charges for theft in the Ammon ID jurisdiction, and file a lawsuit. They are nothing but thieves. It is a good thing that I saved everything, so I have evidence of their deceipt. Do not use them. YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF!!!

Elite Commerce (Language Course Marketplace / Pimsleur Marketplace) offers to buy back the language course that was purchased from them. I sent my course back according to their instructions and it was received by them (USPS confirmed) on August 30, 2014. I have not yet received payment for the language course that I returned. I have attempted to contact them by email, phone and the internet numerous times over a 3 week period and I have received no response.

I filed a complaint with the BBB on September 19th and the complaint was just closed because the company refused to respond. The BBB informed me that they have a large number of complaints that they are working through for this company.

They now have MY language course and have not paid me for it. This is outright THEFT.

I purchase a German course through http://languagecoursemarketplace.com: because it was cheaper than the original website Pimsleaur Approach. $129.00 instead of $180.00 because it was used.

Their website looks very good and there is nothing that suggest that this is a SCAM COMPANY.

I payed for the german course on July 1st 2014 and received an email next day that looks like this: ( very legit in appeareance):

The problem is that I never received the product. I called and a machine always answers. They tell you that a representative will attend your call in short but after 30 seconds a second recording tells you that because of their great prices and high volume of calls they are unable to attend your call so leave a message.

The same happens with their email option:

They NEVER respond or call back. I've been trying to contact them for more than 1 month and NOTHING.

LANGUAGE MARKETPLACE IS A SCAM and I already reported it to Pimsleur Aproach where you should buy the language program if you are interested, ICS and Better Business Bureau. I also called my Credit card company and I will get a refund.

Avoid yoursel the trouble and DON'T BUY ANYTHING there, the only thing that will happen is that they will take your money and give you NOTHING.

they are a terrible company

I wish I could give them a negative star. The very first CD I tried to use had a huge gouge in it, they never answered my email
