My husband and I bought a timeshare in Costa Rica at Bahia Turquesa. We were told we would receive rental income of $1,700 per week for 5 weeks annually. We were also guaranteed that our existing time share would be sold by their affilliate, Mercury Property Management within 360 days. Despite numerouse requests, we never received any rental income nor was our timeshare ever sold.
When I called to check on the sale of my time share I was told the sale was cancelled for my own protection because my property was purchased by money launderers. When I inquired again, six months latere I was told that the property was purchased but the buyer did not come up with the money so the sale was cancelled.
Then, we were told as our part of our membership we were invited to join Las Palmas travel Newtork for $250.00 membership fee per year which would give us access to plane fare 30% below all other online discount travel websites including Expedia and travelocity, as well as rock bottom prices on luxury accomodations around the world. This also proved to be falsed and we were bilked out of another $250.00
