I was doing a usual search on Amazon.com, when, suddenly, I was rerouted by this this company to their website, where they listed several nice-looking items. The only catch was, You had to pay the shipping and handling. Well, shortly after, I was billed for $98.00, and we received this really cheap jewelry.

Later, we noticed that they had been charging us $49.00 a month and we didn't know who was doing it.

Finally, after a couple of months, we found out and when I contacted them, they said that I had to have

signed their terms and conditions page. Well, what you don't realize, at the time you order is that they are not affiliated with Amazon.com. The jewelry we received was nothing but garbage. Not knowing why we kept receiving it, we just threw it away.

What they're doing may be within their terms, but they know that they are taking advantage of people. They got $245.00 out of us, and all we got was 3 little boxes of crappy jewelry that you could probably buy in a dollar store for $2.00. It's clear that they are sending junk and robbing people.

Sure, they took us for a ride and we learned to watch our account more closely, but I hate to see them continue to take advantage of people.

Lauren Luxe Scam

Same thing happened to me. Fortunately for me, my wife spotted the $98 charge on our credit card bill and we made the phone call immediately to stop further bleeding. Initially, they agreed to stop the "subscription" but refused to refund the $98 dollars. After our persistent requests including threatening to report to BBB, they finally gave in and refunded us. Overall, our loss was only the $5.99 S&H plus the mailing cost to return the item (I didn't have to return, but just in case and wanted to retain a record).

This is so-called predatory business, preying on customers' mistakes.

Lesson learned: Nothing is free and is usually too good to be true. Also, persistent, you may (or may not) get your money back.

Same Story

I'm in the process of trying to get my $98 back from Lauren Luxe. First, I talked to Samantha, who told me that she guessed I didn't read that I had signed up for a monthly program... Well, I told her straight off that "NO, I did not and I do not want any kind of monthly program and to cancel it--and that I wanted my $98 credited to my account." I got an email a few days later indicating that since I had signed up for it and kept the jewelry... well, in essence, that's too bad.

That's what I get out of it now reading it over...I didn't when I got it. It still has not been credited. I called back 11/14 and talked to Brianna. She said that I would get an email that would tell me what disposition would be made. Did I not get one before? I told her I did not...I didn't get one from her on Friday.

Right now, I'm fairly disgusted and Monday, I'm going to call VISA. However, I do feel like it was my oversight. I do not remember seeing that when I signed up to pay the $5.99 S&H for the piece of jewelry--it certainly is not worth $98!!! They can have it back...I just don't want to pay the S&H!

Lauren Luxe Scam

Same happened to me. I didn't even realize it until the second package came. By the time I had it cancelled, there was a third charge of $98. I'm on my third call to try to get the information to send my stuff back but I'm not holding my breath. I blame Amazon or my credit union or whoever comes up with these links as they should review the vendors before they allow their links and advertisements to be tied to their websites.

5 stars

Call your credit card company. We did and got two months of $98 charge each reimbursed. Also this should be reported to your local consumer protection agency, better business bureau and maybe news media. This is a disgusting scam and takes advantage of people...most who accept being scammed. This must be stopped! M. Utain

Giant Scam

Same experience as mentioned by the others. I have called this company and told them I am returning their cheap necklace and I want immediate refund to my credit card. Also calling credit card company and advising them. I think this company needs to be investigated. I was directed to them through a "You've been selected to participate in our survey". If there was any disclaimer about further shipments, it must have been written in .00005 point type. Just wish I had checked out these comments before I ever got into this mess. Fortunately, I am done with them.

Emilia Watch Scam

I had the same experience -- on Amazon.com filled out a survey, was offered a free "gift" of a luxury watch for only $5.99 shipping, The company is emilialuxewatches.com, not Lauren Luxe, but seems like the same group. Ten days later my credit card was charged for $97.89. When I called the number, I was told that I had a subscription and so I cancelled it. Then I was told they could only credit me for $20, then $40, then $60 and finally when I said I would dispute any charge they agreed to credit the entire amount if I returned the watch, which is exactly what I'm doing. And I will report them to Amazon, BBB, etc. I will have spent the $5.99 plus whatever it costs to return the watch, plus my time to disentangle this scam. UGH.

I ordered a necklace that was suppose free to be free with $5.99 s/h. Due to my not watching my billing they have taken a total of $598.00 and can't explain the charges.

I know this was partly my fault but, they are a total scam/fraud.

They sent me a piece of fake jewelry saying it was free just pay for shipping and handling which was only ten dollars. Then when i received it didn't come you ups this necklace came regular mail then i put it on it look like a child made it then they charge me $98 for subscribing which i didn't see because i would have never got it now i have a overdraft of $40 dollars now due to this scam.

Jewelry

Been hit with a $98 charge after being told I would only pay shipping and handling. That's all so far. I don't have the phone number. Somebody pass it on to me by e-mail at [email protected] so I can get after these people.

I didn't sign anything.

WOW JUST WOW

I also was scammed by these people. This jewelry is unbelievably cheap. I wouldn't wear it to a dog fight. I also am trying to get my 98.00 back, it isn't easy. The 1st time I emailed them I got the same response as the other people here, the 2nd time it would not go through, it said it was rejected by the server for the recipient. I am now trying to find a phone number & address for Lauren Luxe, GOOD LUCK TO ME. I know people wont research these people & find these reviews before they get tied up with these people but they will surely find it afterwards & it may help them in their fight.

the same thing happened to me

wish i would have found this before hand but will make sure we get the word out there so no one else gets ripped of by this company. I cant stand dirty people like this should have known it was too good to be true smh i am blaming myself but this company should feel badly about themselves. Its okay though tomorrow i will be canceling my account with them and then posting the name of their site and the specifics of all the details on every social site known to man !
