I was Solicited by this attorney, Manali Arora, from a law firm in New Jersey, Swartz Swidler. She asks me "Can I Use You to file a Class Action Wage Dispute Claim?" Don't Do It, It's A Scam. Had I known that I would lose my job and get swindled out of big money I was promised and got ripped off on my tax refund, I would have never agreed to let them file this suit under my name.
Without my knowledge or consent, Arora had an article plastered all over the newspapers and internet to make a name for herself. She also wanted me to testify for some workers who LIED that they were subject to racist comments and discriminated against. Later they told everybody on the job they lied to get the money. She took over $3,900 from a small check, claiming it was for taxes and that I would get it back when I filed my tax return.
Bald Face LIE! I had to request a corrected W-2. Why couldn't they give me a 1099? That $3,900 probably went into someone's pocket at that law firm. By her own admission, a check that had the law firm's name on it and my name, they deposited it into the law firm's trust bank account. I never saw the check, but who signed my signature to deposit or cash the check?
If a lawyer asks you to file a Wage Dispute Claim, Don't Do It! Unless they can guarantee that you will receive double your salary before taxes and keep your job, they are lying to you. When it was clear that Arora could not win the WDC, she turned the case into something else and promised me a hefty settlement, that I did not receive. With her, everything was a CRISIS. She is a BIG LIAR!
Constantly calling me, then claimed my telephone number was disconnected and she never got my emails. All LIES. To pressure me to sign the Agreements, they sent a resignation letter to my job without my knowledge. Then the partner Swidler candidly states, "You do not have a job." The case that I initially contacted Arora for, she said she would help, just to give her Wage Dispute Claim credibility. Another LIE.
She not only never helped me on the initial case, when I received a Right to Sue letter, she never contacted me. Arora did everything by email and telephone. I never MET her. Let my misery be a lesson learned. If an attorney contacts you by phone or email and you never meet them in person, get someone else. I was exploited for her personal GREED.
Recently a lawyer committed suicide when he learned the feds were about to send him to prison for his schemes. it was discovered that he was exploiting homeless people to file fraudulent personal injury claims.
