Lex Reporting Reviews

  • Jul 14, 2014

Lex Reporting sent our firm the transcript we ordered on a COD basis. We paid for it COD. They then billed us through the mail for the same transcript. We didn't catch the double billing because the mail billing was a different invoice number and amount and so we accidentally paid for it twice. The problems started when we discovered it and called for a refund. First we spoke to John who said he needs to talk to his boss. He never called back and every time we called him, he would say he's still waiting on his boss. We then talked to Yolanda and the same thing with her. We had to keep calling her because she never called us back as promised. Then we talked to Gee-Gee. and she promised to take care of the refund that day. But she never did. She started to evade our calls. When we called for her, they would first ask who was calling and then tell us that she's not in. It took over nine months of this hell to get back the money they ripped off from us.

We first thought this was an honest mistake. But it happened a second time with another transcript. They sent it COD and then sent another invoice in the mail after we paid that COD. This time we caught it because it was the same invoice number as the COD. I spoke to some friends at another law firm that ordered transcripts from Lex and they had the same experience with them sending invoices over and over again after they are paid. This is their way of doing business. They keep sending invoces trying to get double and trpple paid then like they did with us - it takes an act of congress to get a refund of the stolen money.
