My son bought the Lifeproof case so he could take it on vacation and use it to take underwater pictures with his iPhone 6. It worked well the first time but the second time a seal leaked and water got into the case and ruined his phone. He filled out the warranty information and it was well within the year warranty time frame. When we contacted LifeProof they told us that they don't guarantee your phone will be safe in their case!

Why do we buy these $80 cases then???? They do not refund money so they would gladly send me a replacement case....what for? His phone is ruined! I would NEVER use another LifeProof case since I now know they do not do as advertised. This is a disgrace.

My son is a struggling college student whom will be working in the city this summer for an internship and could really use his phone. He is not close to his upgrade and cannot afford a replacement. This just stinks!

I have an issue with a company that makes a claim that this case will keep you phone from being subjected to "life" events thus making it Lifeproof. FALSE advertising!

Do not buy a case from this company. This needs to hit them where it means the most....their pockets! Thanks for listening to my rant.

I purchased a Lifeproof case to protect my new iPhone 5s from water damage. It cost $99.00 and I have the Verizon store rep help me with the registration process. The phone proved to be defective and Apple took responsibility and replaced it. Apparently Lifeproof thinks this means they do not have to honor their warranty and replace my now water damaged iPhone. This is ridiculous.

We purchased a brand new Iphone 5C in April 2014 and at the same time purchased a brand new APPLE LIFEPROOF NUUD IPHONE 5C WHITE/CLEAR case from the internet that came in a sealed box and was sold to us as new. These particular cases have just come out in the past 6-8 months as the 5C is a newer model of phone. We performed the water test and there was no leakage. We placed the case on the phone and felt our $500.00 investment was protected. This past Monday the phone unfortunately fell into a puddle of 4 inches of water while at the beach and was taken out immediately (within seconds). We were very happy we had our case on until the phone shut off and never came back on. We removed the case and the phone had gotten completely wet inside. We had followed all the directions and weren't even swimming with the phone and this happened! LifeProof advertises that your phone is safe in up to 6 feet of water. They are misleading the public about the effectiveness and quality of these cases. They have videos showing people shooting pictures underwater with their cases on their phones and ours fell into a puddle for seconds and is now dead?! We were told when we took it to get it fixed that they see people coming in with dead phones from failed LifeProof cases all the time. How is this allowed?!

Additionally, we weren't aware that you can buy a warranty plan for them for 10.00 when you purchase their already expensive case directly from their website. Sure you still have to send them your phone and 50.00 more dollars to fix it or give you another phone. I'm sure they are selling the phones you send in broken for parts or trading them in as we would have if we go directly to Apple. And, they still charge you an additional 50.00 when their case is what FAILED!!! What a gimmick.

I just feel this is extremely false advertising and then to not do more for people when your case fails is unacceptable. We submitted a warranty claim for the case the same day not knowing yet that the phone cannot be fixed. They know there are problems with their cases as they are sending us a new case. Our order confirmation for case replacement is 0013487564. When we submitted the request for a case replacement under warranty we stated our phone was likely ruined due to their case being faulty and allowing water inside and there was no response about it. It's just unacceptable that they are allowed to sell these faulty cases to the public with no reprecussions when they fail. I would like for them to re-imburse us for the cost of the one month old phone or the cost of the 269.00 replacement (refurbished phone) we will now have to go to Apple and purchase.

I made the mistake of ordering a Lifeproof case for my I phone in April. After receiving the case, I discovered that I had the wrong model.....It was my fault. I contacted Lifeproof and inquired about a return or refund. I was sent an answer saying I could return my case for a refurn,,,,less a restocking fee. I sent the case back,,,,and 4 weeks later I receive an email saying that they just noticed that they didn't ship my case????? I reply with an question as to the whereabouts of my refund. Their next reply was that I can't return my case???? it has been over 30 days...I reply that I already sent back....now they are saying they never received....wow.....very unprofessional and unorganized company.....would recommend to anyone,,,,Don't order from Lifeproof......
