I listed commercial real estate with LoopNet for specifically (1) year. Several months into the listing, I quickly realized their service was a waste of money so I cancelled the listing and wrote off the $900+ cost as a mistake.
I am now finding out that LoopNet, without my authorization, used my credit card to charge me for another year listing! When I called to protest, the representative snickered and told me LoopNet would not refund the entire amount, but rather pro-rate the refund!!!
LoopNet are crooks and laugh at the fact that NO ONE, be it an individual, corporation or government agency, will do anything to stop their scam. STAY AWAY FROM LOOPNET!
Signed up for what I thought was a monthly subscription at $64.95. They continue to charge my credit card and say that will be "happy to unsubscribe me at the end of the annual term in April of 2015!!! This would amount to a totla of $779.40 they plan to charge to my credit card. They will be "happy to send the terms and conditions" as to why they think they have the right to do this.
It is a very crappy website anyway and of zero value unless you subsccribe to their "premium" service. Not sure how much that is!!
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!! Unethical and nasty about it.
Company stated I could sign up for a one-month only, $89.95 service. It then charged me for six months more without my permission. When I called them to share my dissatisfaction, I was told "no one here will give you your money back".
