Lumanelle is engaging in deceptive advertising through pop-up websites that advise the customer that they have won a free gift for doing a short survey. The survey is (falsely) linked to a heavily used website such as craigslist or an on-line newspaper. The customer answers 2 or 3 simple questions regarding their use of the site they are on which takes them to a 'free gift' screen. At this point they are invited to claim their free gift. A range of options is presented, one of which is a $50 visa gift card which has 'sold out'. The other offers involve shipping costs and signing up through a third party website.

Once the customer signs up for the trial offer, their card is charged $4.95 for shipping. They will receive the Luma skin care product. There is no additional information such as terms and conditions provided in the box. The customer will assume that this is their 'free gift' until they review their credit card statement.

After 14 days, Lumanelle charges the customer $89.95 for their trial product.

I have to tell you my experience with this s***** company... I have, like lots of other, ordered what I thought was a FREE SAMPLE. So I entered all my info (credit card and adress) on the website, thinkong I was only going to pay the shipping fee for two SAMPLES, luma-repair and luma-hydrate.

What I received couple of days later was a Normal sized product. I didn't matter, thinking "wow, their samples are huge!"... So I began to use the product, without thinking ahead... until I received, a month later, a email telling me that my product had shipped. WHAT? I did not order anything from them, and didn't intend to! So I wrote back, telling them they had made a mistake, I didn't order anything (I knew what price they were selling their products!). No answer. Wrote again 2 days later... and again two days later.( I said to myself I have to stop this! I called my credit card company, telling them I had been "frauded". The lady said something else... Shes said: What they do is legal... unfair and twisted, but unfortunaltely, legal... She told me exactly what to do to get refunded for the product that was "en route" and that for the first one, the supposedly free sample, they could do nothing to get me refunded. So I had to call them (Yes you will have to call them and talk to their shitty representatives... sorry!) They only speak english and my main language is french, it's been quite a tough ride.

So I called them the first time to ask to UNSUBSCRIBE (cancel) to their monthly shipping (and billing!). The guy, after 5-10 minutes trying to convince me to keep the product, sent me -live- an email confirming that I had unsubscribed to luma repair and that I would no longer be billed for this product, also giving me an RMA number (Return merchandise autorization). Whitout this RMA number, there is no chance they will refund you, the lady at the credit card told me. So its is very important to write it on the outside of the -unopenend- box you will send back. After 5 minutes, I noticed I had only one product written in the email. They had cancelled luma repair but not luma hydrate!!! Well done mister consumer service... So I calld back... and asked for the other product to be cancelled... etc...

So when I received the box, I wrote both RMA numbers on it, and went to the poste office, sent the box back to the adress they had provided me on the cancellation email. Of course I paid the shipping back. :(

I checked and they refunded me about 15-20 days after that... I have to say I was surprised how fast it went.

I'll never get caught again... I hope!

This company advertises a free sample for just shipping and handling then charges you for the product later. Then when contacted, they do everything they can to get you to take the product even after you tell them that the product is no good; or try to get you to give it to a friend. Why would you give a horrible product to a friend. Then when you request a refund, they ask for the FREE sample back and you pay all the return shipping charges as well. This is a scam and should be stopped.

Scam

I ordered the free trial. Received and paid for it! No problem! Wrong! two weeks later they took$250.00 out of my account without my approval. I did not receive the product that I somehow paid for with no authorization on my part. Trying to find a phone number to contact them. Ordered this in Canada! Buyers beware do not order any products from Lumanelle besides they don't even work. I don't know how anyone can get away with this fraud. Scammed and not happy!

I recently ordered the 14 day trial for luma hydrate and luma repair for $4.95 each, only for shipping cost for each, upon receiving the products, I did not receive any information that would let me know that I would be charged any additional money, I did not receive an account number or anything, I was then billed a month later on 3 seperate occasions $79.95,$89.95,$2.70. When I called, they informed me that, that was the price of the products if I wanted to keep them but, they had no idea why I was billed $2.70, I then made sure I cancelled the product even though I was never even given an account number

I ordered 30 day free trials of Luma Hydrate and Luma Repair for my face. After fourteen days they charged the credit card that I payed for my samples with $169.90. I did not order additional products or authorize this on my credit card. this is a scam. Luma Customer Service told me that I had a membership with them. I read all the fine print before ordering the free samples to make sure this kind of thing didn't happen. They are only sending free samples so they can get your credit card numbers to charge additional money on.

I tried to send back my unused portion of Lumanelle and couldn't find an address. I called the phone number provided and got a recording allowing me to cancell my subscription but not before they had sent another order just the day before. Of course I was charged approximately &160.00.....I finally was able to reach a person who I could hardly understand and she would talk over me when I was trying to explain my situation. After I had to get rude with her she finally let me talk and it was like pulling teeth to get the return address from her. Very very frustrating. She told me they would refund my account after 3-5 working days after receiving the products back but we will see.

I called the company got it cancelled and was offered a 50% discount no thanks I'm sending t back I said Which I had to pay for. I was told tll be 3-6 weeks before I get my money back. i just mailed it out so let's see. I took anther survey right after and just got charged for a watch by lux from the same crap email. I BELIVE it was a survey for abcmouse.com but obviously isn't. Now I have to fight that one to and now I'm going to email my bank and get my money back because I now know I didn't see shit like the bitch at my bank assumed I did!!!! Be careful

Lumanelle Company has False Advertising. The advertment on the Internet offers you a 14 day free trial of their product for the shipping of $4.95. Does Not State that after the 14 day trial you will be charged $89.95 if you did not return the product. When you received the product there is only information on how to use the product, there is NO information that they will charge your credit/debit card $89.95.

I called 1-800-622-3073 number and talked a Representive for over 45 minutes regarding the $89.95 that was charged to my credit/debit card. the representive. stated that they will only refund $49.95, even if you return the product wiithin the 14 day trial you will be only refunded 1/2. When asking for the Corporate name and telephone number, the reprensentive stated that they didn't have that information and this telephone number was use for sales.

I place a trail offer with Lumanelle skin care! I paid $4.95 & $3.95 for each product to be shipped upon receiving the package in "one" box with the usp label that is clearly printed $2.55 that they paid for shipping, then they immediately billed my credit card twice for at $90 each!!! I called them and told them to pick up back their items and offered me % off on four separate occasions going down as low as 80% off!! I told them I didn't want anything of theirs!! They then told me I had to pay for the shipping and handling back to them!!! I yelled and hung upm on them!! They should be shut down they are lying to customers!!! Please help!! Thank you.

This company is a total rip-off with their advertisements for "samples". They send you "full size bottles" instead of the "Sample" you request & "only pay for shipping & handling. You end up having a "subscription" to their products & they almost immediately charge the credit card you used to pay the shipping & handling charges within a few days. You are also charged to return these full size bottles to obtain a credit & they first try to give you a "25% discount off of $170 total charges for 2 bottles" - when you say NO to that, they try to give you a "50% discount of the the total". This is a MOST disreputable company.

On July 17 2013 I signed up for a free trial for repair and hydrate lumanelle. I had to pay shipping and handling. Three days later I received the hydrate but not the repair. I called them back. They said it didnt process the repair and they would ship it the next day. So I received a package at the post office and I opened it up and it was 3 bottles from a company called rejuvanex.

So I called Lumanelle back. I told them I wanted to cancel. They said their records showed they shipped the repair. I argued with a lady named rose that couldnt speak english for a long time. She finally put her suppervisor Joy on. Joy said they would reship it.

A few days later received another box . Opened it and it was another bottle of hydrate. I called them back and told them I wanted to cancel. They would not let me cancel.

I spoke with another representative and they said they would extend it again and reship and not to worry about the extension date . To call when I received it.

Finally after a month I received the repair. At this time I called them back and asked them to cancel. This was on August 6 I believe. They said they would have someone call me back with in a day.

I didnt ever hear from them. When I called back I talked to a lady named Marie who transfered me to her supervisor Ann. I was then informed I had already been charged $89 and $79 for the product. I told her I was making complaints , wanted the corporate number and basically raised cain. She then emailed her supervior and was given permission to do a refund after I declined the 50 % refund and keep stuff. I was given a number in which I had to put on return box and maybe in 14 days they will refund my card.

I am not holding my breath. I have never been so irrate. It was noisy talking to them . They didnt speak english and from the moment I received the first bottle approximately July 20 I have tried to cancel and they refused. I dont give a crap what the fine line says this company is extremely misleading.

Stay away from LUMANELLE. They bait you with this incredible offer on their skin care products. Order their 2 trial bottles and just pay $3.95 and $4.95 for shipping. You have a 2 week period to try the product then if you don't contact them to cancel they automatically charge you $79.95 and $89.95 for your next monthe supply.Or so you think. I received these charges on my credit card on August 29th and called them today (September 13) to find out why I had not received my new products after 15 days. Come to find out this charge was made for my TRIAL bottles, not my next months' supply. NOWHERE do they tell you until after you request the trial order that this becomes an automatic monthly shipment and you will be billed every month. I talked to their rep and the first thing she told me was they would give me a 50% discount if I remain a customer. I refused to pay anything for my trial. So then I was told in order to get my $170.00 credit I have to mail back the unused supply of my TRIAL bottles at MY EXPENSE for inventory purposes. Just for the record, I have been using this product for 3 1/2 weeks now and can't say I see any difference at all.

I called Lumanelle today to cancel my order before what I thought was my 14 day trial period ended. I was told I was not within the 14 day trial period because it started from the day I ordered not from the day I recieved the products. I thought I would have a full 14 days to try this but no. And they had already charged my bank account for each bottle I received. I mistakenly thought both bottles together were $79.95 but No. The other bottle was $89.95. Nowhere in the ordering of the trial products to they tell you any of this information. When I told the operator how upset I was, she offered to give me a 25% refund, send me two more bottles free and give me a month to respond as to whether or not I wanted to continue to receive the product. She asked me if this was okay and I said I supposed so but I was still extremely angry with the whole company. She then offered to refund 50% of each product price and mail me two more bottles with the same offer. I have to return the used bottles because the pump did not work properly. Yes, at my expense. This is the biggest rip off and the products are no better than what I can buy at any deparment or drug store.

I bought a free trail of Lumanelle, the bottle was defective. My card was charged the $8.50 postage and then two weeks later I noticed my bank had less in it than it should. I checked my statement and lumanelle had take another $94.70 from my card. I have called their number and it says disconnected. I have emailed them with no reply. Even though they had no authority to take the near one hundred dollars, they didnt even have the decency to send me any more product. Some one needs to stop this company as I notice I am far from alone. It is internet fraud

  • Jul 23, 2014

I tried a number of times to cancel my free trial within the 14 day time limit with no success. the lumanelle company wont even answer my phone calls.

I agreed to receive 2 free samples of skin care product, and paid $7.95USD and 5.95USD for shipping, product never arrived. When I mentioned I didn't receive they said it takes 10 days. A lady called with an Asian accent, didn't catch her name, hard to understand. Agreed to cancel membership, which I did not know I somehow agreed to because it was stated in their conditions tab, although I did not not check this as I thought I was simply trying some samples. If I didn't cancel the stupid deal, I would have been charged over $180.00 USD for 2 lots of product, because I did not realise I was a member and getting charged every month.

As it stands, they agreed to refund half of the full price, of said product, not the money previously paid for so called sample, which I never recieved. When I tried to check using the tracking number, it appeared to not register. That was before I realised they were talking about full price product, even though I kept talking about samples. So now I realise that I have been scammed, which says a lot for the product, if they have to trick you into buying it, i expect it will be crap, as well highly inflated to pay for comissions to scammers, pretending to be sales people.

I have sent another email, requesting all my money back as I did not intend to be a silly member, see how that goes, they always have the same lady ring, so at least now I know what is going on it may help, who knows. This is happening to a lot of folks no doubt.

I ordered a trial offer of lumanelle lumarepair. the offer said,"Free just pay shipping and handling. $4.95. I received the product in a timely manner. When i received my next bank statement, they had charged my account for $89.95. This caused my account to be overdrawn. Iam on a fixed income and this has really hurt me. I was at the bank today and found out they were taking another another $89.95 out today. I've had them blocked from taking anymore money from me.

Grace plumbing/construction company is a huge rip off shady company they were called out to do a simple job of fixing a leaky pipe in the bathroom of our rental home. what should have been 2 or 3 or even 4 day job turned into 3 1/2 weeks of a nightmare they torn down walls wrecked wall paper took all toilets off and placed them in other locations, they fired so many people while this was going on that every time someone can to our house it was someone new that had no idea what they were doing, they had us sign all paper work in the very begining of the work so we had no idea what was going to take place, but every time they sent someone new to the house they charged up a "trip fee" of $49.50 their were 11 of those charges, i was told by (i am guessing) the main contractor guy that they had to pay their enployees, they also charged for several service fees one which they called an emergency service of over $130 "i dont know what they concerder an emergency, because it took them 3 to 4 days to get to us"once they found out that our insurance was not going to pay the charges started to rack up, they even had the nerve to charge us when they blow out our circuits because they hooked all their machines to one plug, it was a week and a half before they even stopped the leak "no wonder the walls would not dry" they said that they found mold and charged us to remove it by they did not do a report on it like they are requred to do but i was told by (samuel theriault) (im guess he was the boss man) that for a$300 he can do back to the house and do one, i advised him no because that would not even make sense due to they already removed it, i also asked him about the taxes on the labor and the trip fees that they can not charge taxes on those due to they are not a material possession and from what i understand that those items are not taxable and dont fall under that catefory such ass parts..he told me that i have no idea what i was talking about.

in the so called clean up of this job after 3 weeks they had to make a special trip out to put the toilet back on correctly in which they cracked they tile in the bathrook floors, they painted parts of the walls and replaced tiles in the tub with tiles that didnt even match what was already their, got paint all over the floors, both bathroo doors, curtains, counter, toilet paper roll holders carpet and rugs they also removed the rails for the bathtub door and never replaced them or even tried to they dry wall work looks as if a 3 year old did the work, and they even sent someone out to clean it up and he even didnt try to get it all and he told me for $400 more he can finish the painting. i advised him no because i can do it for $10. they even got our renters nephew to sign off of it all as if it were finished and complet. at this point i was so very done with these people they call me about 6 to 8 time every day and threaten me with a law suit and leans on our house.and theyr are many other charges also we did not agree with.

we did try to pay them what we felt was fair but they are rejecting it and sending it back to us

I need help the home owner is an retired elderly man with parkinson desease.

I answered this rip-off, thinking I was to receive a trail offer.

they chatded my Visa on 12/12/2013

I received the trail items on the 12/18/2013

I checked my Visa bill when I returned from my Christmas Visit ot of town

Lo and behold there are two charges on there that I never authorized.

Why, because I failed to read the fine print.

I tried calling the number and got put on hold Wednesday, 1/8/2014(800-634-9644)

I tried again on Friday, same thing

I traid againthis morning, got the usual recording

Press 1 for product information, Press 2 to place order, Press 3 to cancel your order

I pressed#3, and refured to another number 800-622-3073 I got the recorded message

I started pressing zero several times

Finally Angel came on the line, and I told her that I had not authorized any charges

She said I didn't read the fine print, that I had to cancel within 14 days

She was authorized to give me 25% credit, I told her that was unacceptable and to speak with her supervisor

She said they were at a meeting, she put me on hold, then came back with 50%

I again said that was unacceptable, and I said Good-bye.

They lead me to believe I was receiving a free trial of Luma Repair and Luma Hydrate and I was to only pay shipping costs. This was on 111213 and I received package next day. On 112613 my account was 90.00$ negative which destroyed my entire months bills because my account was over drawn. I want some thing done!!! Please call me!!

LUMANELLE - This is just another report regarding this ripoff. The website says that you will be charged only for shipping of the Free Trial. You find out the next day through a phone call from the Phillipines that you will also be billed for $80-90 for the Free Trial and to Subscribe. BEWARE! They also use Dr. Oz's name, which should have given me a clue that this was not a legitimate business. When you ask for their address all you get is that it is in Savannah, Georgia, and no street address.
