Maaco Franchising, Inc Reviews

VERY unhappy customer but for the most part I've learned a very liable lesson.I will never under any circumstances do business with a company like this again.First let me say cheaper doesn't always mean a good thing and I for one have always been a firm believer in you get what you pay for and I should've known better.Read all fine prints and don't mind any promotions of a half off deal because in the end you will pay nowhere near half the listed price.I usually do all my business with a different maaco location and just recently learned about this location and decided to check them out.I was originally lured in by the 1/2 off sign in front of the establishment but from the very beginning the way I was greeted and the estimate I was quoted I had a funny feeling about this place and I should've followed my first mind. While the estimate was nowhere near 1/2 off it was about $200 cheaper than the location I normally go to so I decided to make an impatient decision and follow my gut because of the $200 difference. That's not a huge difference in price but I'm a current college student and I'm on a tight budget at the moment.I was told my car would be done in 4-5 days and they ended up having my car for over a week and I really couldn't understand why so long for what I was getting done..Eventually after two days of tjusticeling me at the end of the day to tell me hey your car won't be ready until tomorrow I grew tired and just told them forget the extra detail I wanted just let me pick up my car and be done with it..Had to go back and forth with the owner John before he finally agreed to subtract the stuff they didn't do from my total.I can't explain how I felt when I looked over my car and the paint job they did that took almost a week and a half.DISGUSTED doesn't do my true feelings the right amout of justice.I LOVE cars and particularly the one I own and I was heartbroken at what this company did to my car.I'm currently in school for auto tech and I'm a longtime carclub member so needless to say I'm pretty passionate about cars and their looks. The paintjob wasn't even the worse part the worst part of this whole ordeal that has me extremely upset is the fact that they damaged my brand new aftermarket headlights that I had installed two weeks prior. That place is doing some shady business over there and I will never deal with them again. If you're reading this I ADVISE YOU to take heed to the bad reviews unlike me.

I will start off by saying please never come here and this is why. dan weigher the manager quoted me $150 to paint a bumper and trunk lid and the bill came to $290 with no explanation! and I went to pay and dan stated I couldn't use my visa ...MoreI will start off by saying please never come here and this is why. dan weigher the manager quoted me $150 to paint a bumper and trunk lid and the bill came to $290 with no explanation! and I went to pay and dan stated I couldn't use my visa because it a privilege to use my visa so I got cash which makes me think he pocketed my cash and my car sat at the lot for 5 days to get a quote and never got a quote. the paint job was so bad I am forced to have it repainted there was clear coat drips everywhere, dust mixed with the paint and it wasn't the color I requested . I will never step foot in there doors again nor will I do business at this location ever again. dan weigher is way to rude and has no people skills!! please don't go here save yourself the headache!!

I received an estimate from the owner after an inspection of my vehicle. I was very clear about my expectations and was assured all would be taken care of by the owner(Colm). I was told my vehicle would take 2 weeks. I was called and told it was ready by Colm after 2 weeks. After a brief inspection, I realized it was far from ready. In fact, there were so many defects in the "workmanship" that I was at a lack of words to describe just how poorly the work was done. The owner, Colm, (a bullshit artist) assured me that he would personnaly innspect my vehicle to insure all would be done to my expectations. 2 weeks later, again, I was called and told my car was ready. It was still a fiasco. A month and a half later, called again to be told it was ready. After 6 weeks the work still looked as if it were done by chimps or teenagers in shop class. Total fiasco doesn't come close describing my expirience at MAACO.

as a previous employee at maaco. I worked for the maaco in aston p.a. Wilmington de, and lawnside n.j.. this is not an attack on these stores i'm just bringing to light the truth take it or leave it, their not painting my car. these three locations are owned by a man named frank castellino. he rips off customers on a regular basis. if you purchase a basecoat\clearcoat special the chances are it will be painted in single stage. let me explain single stage to you. single stage is basecoat and clearcoat mixed together. it's shot in 2 coats metallic colors can't be buffed so any flaws can't be fixed. maaco policy states their can be up to 9 defects per panel, that's a lot. before they have to fix it. most places will fix the job if a customer complains. single stage fades, chips lifts, and wrinkles very easily. it will last about 18 months. hence why they only give you a 1 year warranty. the offer a basecoat\clearcoat for around 800.00 it's a rip off. the quality of paint they use is junk. it's bottom of the barrel I paint cars and I wouldn't put it on my car, and i'm sorry to say I put it on other peoples car. they have a quality paint line but they only use it on their more expensive package. But the stores I've worked at won't actually buff your car even though you pay for it. they prey on your ignorance or lack of education in reference to paint. they win you lose.
