Marlo Furniture Reviews

On time of delivery we registered a complaint with the company about the quality of the seats and pillows.

The pillows were not filled with the proper material and part of the seats were empty and not filled with consistency.

After a month the seats started taking off and became saggy.

Two days ago, 4/2/2015, they sent a person to check and in his report he classified the problem due to "perception".

He sat on the seats and tried them to see the difference compared to another sofa purchased elsewhere. Even the seats of two pieces showed different level of poor craftsmanship and defects. Marlo's rep noticed the defects. He tried to change the filling inside the back side and claimed that he fixed the issue.

The company refused to fix the damage or replace the seats or exchange the set with another one for a reasonable price we agree about.

They refused any fix and claimed their is no manufacturer warranty on the product and we have to purchase the warranty separately. The product is defective and it is not an issue of buying a warranty. Marlo delivered cheap quality and defective for a price close to $1,500.

Do not buy your furniture here!!! They would sell you furniture that are NOT in stock!!!

Me and my mom came in to this store in December 2013 to look for furniture for our living room and dining room. We were greeted by their sales rep, Alex. After spending over three hours in the store, we were able to pick a dining room set (1 table, 8 chairs) and a living room set (1 sofa, 1 love-seat, 2 side tables) and we paid for everything that same day (no financing). They said delivery is between 4-6 weeks.

6 weeks past and no-one called us. We called and were told to wait 2 more weeks. 2 more weeks past, we called back and was told that our invoice indicated the purchase happened in mid-January so they had until March to deliver everything. RIDICULOUS! We called Alex and demanded a refund. He got worried and personally drove to our house in his family van on a Wednesday night to deliver 4 dining chairs. They were not wrapped in anything and were already assembled. We didn't notice anything until the next morning - there were scratches on the sides of the chairs and they were loose. We suspected they were floor models but we were told that everything would be delivered the next Saturday so we patiently waited. On Saturday, a big truck came with the living room set, the dining table, and 2 dining chairs. WHY ONLY 2 CHAIRS??? We called Alex and told him that we were not happy with the condition of the four chairs that he personally delivered and that 2 more chairs were still missing. He and my mom argued over the first four chairs that he delivered. My mom has a soft heart so eventually she gave in and asked him to please replace only one chair because it was broken on the bottom. He agreed to replace one chair and promised the 2 remaining chairs would be delivered soon. Now it's been so long that I no longer remember the exact dates but it took them a few more weeks to deliver the last 2 chairs. But what about the replacement chair?? I have been calling Alex every week asking about our LAST chair! He had excuses every single time. First it was having troubles getting approval from the manager, second it was ordering the wrong chair, third it was change of manager.
