I needed money fast so I called maxlend, they had told me I could only borrow $500 from them with some interest of course! We agreed to have $111.00 every other week be taken out of my account they wound up taking different amounts every other week and $2000 later I changed my bank account so they would stop taking money from me. The claimed that I didn't call them so they just set up there own. Intrest amount I was so angry! They now call me at least 10 times on my cell and my work line wanting me to either continue paying them or settle out for $280.00 I said hell no! That place is a rip off and a scam for people like me that just needed money to pay bills fast due to other things going on in my life. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
MAXLEND is a TOTAL SCAM!!!! They take total advantage of those who are in dire emergency experiences and will continuously take money out of your account!!! I have 9 different occurrences of them withdrawing funds out of my account! I had borrowed $425 and have paid total: $1229.37 which is an extra $804.37. I have called and left messages and they do not bother to return calls. By the time I got in contact with someone, I was disconnected! They tell you that they send you emails and I have not recieved no such emails. When I finally was able to speak to someone (Kaleena) she referred me to her supervisor Natalie who then tried to settle the account and wanted another payment of $175 because $227.50 was due. They withdraw your funds and pay it towards the ridiculous fees and interest first then apparently $50 to your balance! It's ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!
Long story short - took a loan out for $300, and was told that I'd have to pay back $357 in two paychecks ($176.50 each paycheck). Here we are months later, $593 paid back, and they want another $260 to close my account. Thieves!!!!!!! Stay away from these people!!!!!!!

They took out two payments two days in a row and then took out the entire balance of my loan without my knowledge or consent. Maxlend has indicated this was a ""computer glitch"" however it left customers with little or no money for a long holiday weekend. Maxlend was not authorized to withdraw the funds and caused many customers thousands of dollars in overdrafts. Items are attempting to clear my account and my checking account is a mess. Maxlend is in breach of contract. I have contacted an attorney and notified that they are not legally licensed to do online lending in the state where I live. I was also told by an attorney the company is in breach and the loan is not enforcable by law. Maxlend has took it upon themself to dip into accounts and withdraw thousands of dollars causing several people financial distress

First, they tacked on a processing fee and with other charges the total repayment was going to be $1350ish in two weeks. Two weeks later they offered me an extension and indicated that I could pay the amount in 4 payments. They tacked on another $350 processing fee!
Since that time they have been deducting around $450 from my account every two weeks. I went on line today to verify that the last payment has been made and notices that they are calling this an extension and treating the deductions as an interest & fee payment. My account still shows an amount due of $1,150 dollars. Keep in mind that is four weeks they deducted over $1600! The representative clearly told me that they would be deducting in four payments.
If you really need cash, try the Amscott or other pay day loans. They might charge you $55 on $500 for two to three weeks. But that is a lot better than this group.
Here is the problem, what is your recourse? Go to North Dakota and fight against a foreign government (I believe the Native American Nations amount to sovereign nations)?
This amounts to little more than legal (if it is legal) loan sharking. I realize that Max Lend is owned by a group of Native American Nations. But, how do we allow this kind of activity to take place in our country. This kind of activity need to be abolished, the company’s assets seized and distributed to the victims and last but not least the management and owners should be put in jail, serving hard labor (I am not into cushy jails for scum like this).
