We contracted with NW Metal Buildings and paid approximately $738.50 for them to reduce the height of the carport on our property. They failed to begin work, and in fact one of the contractors that came out to look at the property stated that the project simply could not be done. We asked for a refund of the money we paid, since the project could not be completed (and was never started). The company at first represented that they would refund our money, but we have received no refund and the company has since ignored our phone calls and the phone call and a letter from our attorney. Additionally, when our attorney called to follow up, the company again represented that the manager/owner was not present and would call back. No return call was received.
We complained to the BBB, their response was that because we'd gone to an attorney, they'd referred their case to their attorney and our attorney had never gotten back to them. Well, guess what? It's not so much that we referred the case to an attorney as an attorney happened to be their client, and I can 100% say that the company has NEVER contacted me or anyone connected to this case to try and resolve it. Never followed up on their initial offer of a refund, never offered to try to correct the issue (not that we would trust them to correct the issue at this point anyway).
These people should be shut down for outright theft. Already rated F on BBB and two others on ripoffreport, as it seems they've been victimizing people left and right.
