Metro PCS Reviews

In 2013 I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S3 from the Metro PCS store in the mall. The phone costed me over 400 dollars new, which to me is a lot of money. I used the phone for about a year and then stoped using it because I had to downgrade to a cheaper service and phone. About a month ago I decided to put the phone on Craigslist and sell it since I dont use it, and I needed the money. I found someone who wanted it and she came to buy it. I was happy. Until she called me demanding her money back saying that Metro PCS told her that the phone was no longer usable on thier service. Apparantly Metro changed from CDMA to GSM. So I took her money back and got the phone back. I couldn't beleive it. So I went into one of the corporate offices today in disbeleif asking questions. They basically told me that the phone is now useless with any carrier. So I bought a 400 dollar paper wieght. This just inferiates me. I dont have a lot of money and live paycheck to paycheck and I really feel as if I was ripped off.

My grandmother bought me a phone from Metro PCS (pre-paid phone service) and activated my phone and paid for phone and made first month payment on 12-14-2014 and received my phone on 12-18-2014. The cost of the Phone with tax was 86.79. My grandmother pays for phone insurance at an additional $6.00 per month which is added to the monthly bill. My complaint is the cost of a phone insured and lack of service for the following reasons.

My grandmother paid the bill on the 3rd of June, 2015, she contacted Metro PCS and ask how she could change billing date to the 3rd of each month since that is when she receives her monthly check. She was told not to make a payment until the 3rd of July and that would change her due date. From June 13, 2015 to the present I have not had any service, the phone was shut off so no calls could be made in or out. In the meantime, I dropped my phone while holding my 4 month old son and consequently, had to replace it so I called my grandmother to do a three way call to Metro PCS to replace the phone and they referred us to the insurance company (Asurion) 866-862-3397. Asurion said, the monthly fee for phone insurance only covers half the replacement cost for the phone and said it would cost us $50, my grandmother was furious. Why pay for insurance? Referring to the above, initially the phone was $86.79. This is quit the racket they have going on. Once I got the phone I tried to activate it and they said the bill had not been paid. My grandmother pays every month on the 3rd and had made the payment. We talked to a supervisor (Martha) at Metro PCS (877-603-3032). She said, I’ll give you credit for 18 days. My grandmother was mad about that because I went 34 days without service and she had already paid on the 3rd, she claimed the bill was due on the 13 of the month and we were to make up the difference from the 13th to the 3rd. My grandmother’s phone dropped the call and I was left to talk to this women but I didn’t have the receipts or facts my grandmother had. My grandmother said why are we paying for 16 days for a phone that was shut down by your company and I had to replace my phone. The monthly fee is to cover the entire month, not days there is no service. This company is unethical and the insurance company they simultaneously have a contract with need have their business practices investigated. They are screwing people which are mostly my age between 21 and 25. I want my phone activated now and the billing date changed as promised by their representatives to start on the 3rd of the month which is what my grandmother was told (her number is: 602- and don’t charge people for service they don’t have and raise your phone fees and collect additional fees for a phone that is insured. When I get a full time job, I will begin making my own payments. Unprofessional and crooked operation. Payment is paid every month on the 3rd and if payment is not made you get no serve. My grandmother is not paying for a phone that had not service for 34 days. The July payment was made even though I had no service.

In addition, I looked for the Corporate Offices Address so I could complain to the CEO, however, the address listed on the internet does not exist. There is no such address. Does anyone have their address? I have reported them to the FTC for investigations.

We purchased some phones from metro pcs and we have had nothing but problems with them and the customer service people. they will not replace our phones that they sold us at all and expect us to buy new phones when our phones ain't even a month old. they already made us get new SIM cards which didn't work at all. now we got a bill from them saying we have to pay again when we haven't been able to use our services we paid for. what do we do? they refuse to give us a corporate number.

Metro PCS refuses to give unlock code after 7 months of service.

On Dec 20, 2014 I purchased a Samsung Mega cell phone with insurance and a $40 period cell phone plan, at the Metro store and was told after 500mb of 4g data I would be dropped down to 3g. I later purchased the Gear watch (that only works with Samsung Phones) and 3 cases. After 5 days my phone stopped downloading (it would time-out). I called over and over again asking how fast is 3g suppose to download because mine was at about 125KB/sec and was always told "It looks like you have run out of your 500mb of 4g data and in order for your phone to run like before you'll need to purchase a new plan" I ask how fast is 3g suppose to download because mine was running at 125kb/sec and would time-out before the page would load. Every time they pretended not to know and repeated that I needed a higher data plan. Long store short I found out it drops to 2g. After 4 more months using wifi only, I purchased a Go Smart(also owned by T-Mobile) activation card for 3gb of data at the same price and waited for my monthly plain to end. Well my phone broke and I had to pay a $130 deducible. When my replacement arrived I had one day left so I activated the replacement ask for the unlock code and called Go Smart to port my number and get 3gb of 3g (20 times faster then 2g) service. After 5 days with no phone and no unlock code. I had to purchase a $100 phone from Go Smart and wait 5 more days checking Go Smart voice mail from my girlfriends phone 4 to 6 times a day. Customer service told me after 3 months the replacement phone won't show as new, but 3 months later no unlock code. MetroPCS Phone Unlock Policy clearly states "For warranty exchange phones, the activation date is the date of the phone you originally purchased, So in Nov after sending $400 for a phone $200 for the Gear watch $130 for the replacement, $100 for a temporary phone, $60 for cases and extra battery I paid $80 for small claims court and on Dec 15,2014 was awarded $1650 when Metro reps did not show. case number (2014CVI2433). How do I get my judgement and my unlock code?

Don't order a cell phone from Metro PCS's web site unless you want multiple unauthorized charges on your credit or debit card!

I ordered one phone and my debit/checking account was charged in the amount of 104.94. Then, my same account was charged TWICE four days later, each time in the amount of 104.94. Those second and third charges WERE NOT AUTHORIZED by me and my money has not been returned to my account. I have numerous bounced checks and debits as a result of this and whenever I call to try to get my money back, I'm told "Sorry for the inconvenience" and the "Corporate has to process it".

I spoke to Zaire ([email protected]) on November 20th and she assured me that she would expedite my request. I haven't heard from her since and she has not returned my emails. The phone number on her email was bogus. On November 27, I spoke with Christopher, who is supposed to be some sort of supervisor. He assured me he would look into it and contact me at 2:30pm that same day with an update. Not only did Christopher not contact me as promised, he has also failed to return my phone call when I attempted to contact him.

It has been over two weeks and I still don't have my money. Please do me a favor and contact:

Christopher: 1-877-603-3032 ex. 2558

Zaire: [email protected]

Ask them where my money is!

Thanks.

I purchased a Samsumg Mega. I was supposed to recieve a rebate back from phone. I was on the fifty dollar plan for three months after I purchased the phone. Because I did not keep the fifty dollar plan Metropcs chose not to give me my rebate for my phone. I would not have chosen if this phone. If 8 knew I would not recieve my rebate. If you are considering a phone based on a rebate don't. Because Metro does not pay. Its a fraud.

Purchased a Alcatel Fierce on 4-15-2014 from authorized Metro Pcs dealer. On 04/16/2014 I return to store with phone and everything they gave me. To ask for a refund. They asked me what was wrong I told them nothing I just don't think its going to fit my needs. They take phone from me remove it from case and start messing with the setting . I am finally told that they can not give me a refund because they are not authorized to. The person that can is out of town but will be in tomorrow and I can come back. I am busy and cant just come back without knowing if the actual person is there so I ask for this managers number. She tells me he's on a plane. I say that's fine I can just leave him a message. She than refuses to give me his number. After having her rudely argue with us for a couple minutes more we go outside and call corporate metro pcs. We are told by two separate agents that she has to honor their return policy. We go back in and tell her that she tells us she does not. she than refuses to talk the agent we have on the phone.

So we go to another store and tell them what's going on. This nice lady call a area metro pcs agent that goes around and checks on the stores. He calls the other store up to see what going on. The lady than lies to this agent and tells her we refused her access to the phone.

I can not stand this women. We witnessed her lying to other customers in the store, and feel she's lying to us know about the refund. She is only interested in her commission and will do anything to get it. I can not believe metro pcs authorizes these people to sale their products, especially when they are getting this complaints. Or maybe the company practices fraudulently to and used the authorized dealers as a cover to protect themselves.

I bought (04/10/2014) a phone the Kyocera Hydro XTRM $80 and a plan $60/mo. Paid $149 in total plus taxes. When I arrive home the phone got only 1 GB. In memory not the 4GB they promise at the store and online (I research and ask in advance). I read the cancellation policy they call “MetroPromise Guarantee”, for a full refund in within 7 days of purchase with less than one hour of talk time so I cancel immediately like 4 hours after I left the store. I went next day to the store for the Full Refund.

They check the phone I spoke 31 minutes (nest day) and they only return me $60 dollars for the phone. They say they have a fee for the return $29 and the service ($60) is unreturnable. So where is the Full reund?.

Calling the consumer line 1-800-373-2876 is a waste of time they blame the store, and at the store they blame the company.

The store is at 2656 University Blvd West, Silver Spring MD 20902

How do you feel if you were me?
