These people contacted me about a property that I own in NYC. I live in Indiana and received correspondance from them a few weeks ago claiming to lower my property taxes. Baffling at first, but I called them to find out how on Earth did they know 1). my PERSONAL information, 2). detailed property & tax statements 3). my location in Indiana???
I was redirected to a young man by the name of Michae Geylik that said he was a CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANT that had ties to NYC Dept of Finance and that he could lower my property taxes... I fell for it because he sounded very informative and I felt like he knew what he was talking about (considering he did find me and knew all of my tax information). So I agreed to his services and after exchanging information I mailed a check. About a week after I sent my check I received similar correspondance but from a DIFFERENT company by the name of "Real & Proper" offering the same services with the same address. Red flag? BINGO!!! I quickly called Mr. Geylik and demanded that he not only cancel our agreement and not cash my check that I wrote to him, but to send me all of my personal information and uncashed check to my Indiana address IMMEDIATELY! He said they don't mail back any information and that they won't cash the check.
I want my check and information back! To add insult to injury, I did some research via Google search and found that he IS NOT a certified accountant and also that the information he was trying to charge me for is easily accesible on line! Beware of this company and its brother compay "Real & Proper"
If anyone from this comapny is reading this: SEND ME MY PERSONAL INFORMATION BACK!
