We hired Michael James Eikelbarner and he started our Remodel job October 13 to Remodel a house for us and the contract he agreed to was to be completed in (3) weeks from start date.
We found out that Mr. was found guilty of Theft Of property on (three) occasions Dates February and May of 2010 $500-$1500.00 thefts and February 2012 thefts of $20,000.00. Mr. Eikelbarner is White male 6’ tall approximate 230 pounds 44 years old.
We found out that Michael James Eikelbarner had very little experience in remolding and was relying on his cheap labors to guide him though the remodel process.
Contractor Eikelbarner was not showing up to the job on many occasions and or his work crew and not returning our calls, messages and when he did all he was doing was making up stories why he was taking our payments and not performing and or producing the required results to finishing the job.
We found out that he had not been paying his employees, sub-contractors etc owes them thousands of dollars even after he had been PRE-PAID ON MANY OCCASIONS.
Contractor Eikelbarner abandoned our job December 15 2014 only finishing very little and taking over 6 weeks past his three weeks’ time line. He also took over 45 window screens from the windows without our knowledge to get rescreened?
Contractor Eikelbarner has caused us $7000-$9000.00 damages and on top of that the damaged work that he had done and to complete the massive remainder of his work, the damages that he caused as outlined in contract, log book, documentation of job site.

This man, "Mike", refused to provide his company name. Mainly because he presented himself to be the Home Owner at 2801 Ohare Ct. Dallas, Texas. After presenting himself as Home Owner, he entered into a contract fraudulently.
We see his type about twice a year. Our owner calls them Craigslist contractor predators. Not only do they beat the customer out of money and time, they use Craigslist to find the sub contractors and/or labor to complete a phase of a multi phase project.
They agree with a sub-contractor to complete a phase or more of work, and as soon as a payment is due, Mike complains about the sky being blue, and his waist being huge, the wall being flat, refuses to pay- runs the sub contractor off. Goes to the next phase.
He did the same to DFW CEDAR CONSTRUCTION, hired us to do 3500.00 of interior residential construction, and upon our performance, we issued a good faith invoice, far less than what we had completed- when the heat of needing to pay to complete more- he refused payment and ordered DFW Cedar Construction off the property.
He is a criminal.
He refused to give his business name, after it was discovered he was not the Home Owner at project site-
he used the Dallas Police department to claim theft of materials, when he forgot materials purchased for the project was on our truck, when he refused to pay an agreed to invoice, then ordered us off property.
He laughed and snickered, like he had done something. He sent smiley faces, as he condescendingly made light of getting work done, he was never going to pay for, nor intended to pay for.
This man is a master fraud- needs to be prosecuted.
