I adopted a puppy a few weeks back from Michele's rescue. First, I had to take him in right away because he was injured. He then started vomitting so back to the vet we went. He got treated for many kinds of worms. I have noticed that Michele never cashed the check I wrote her. I message her on Facebook and asked her why. I got back a very nasty response and she wanted me to write her another check. I called my bank and they stopped payment on the check because Michele had lost my check. This woman lost a payment that had my full name, signature, ADDRESS, routing number, and bank account number. She never apologized just threatened to take me to court if I didn't send a new check. As a business owner this shows me how irresponsible her "company" is. I have learned a lesson about these adoption places. Please do your research before you adopt your pet. Please DO NOT go to Michele's Rescue.
WE went to see an advertized Basset Hound, who was really a coon walker hound. Volunteer let us know he had ome from a kill center in Kentucky where he had been out wandering in wild for some time. They had done surgery to stomach to removecorn cobs stuck in somach. she said we could try him out. We agreed
We decidedto take him and we were told he did not bark, he barked a lot. He needded to where diaper at night, was not completely houe broke. He is a four years old and our foster parent said she has been his fifth home since Kentucky. She had manage to teach him to sit and stay for a few seconds. he had no name recognition, understnding of no, or outside. We were given a Vets paper with most his health checked off but no rabries shot records.
We Called to talk about it with 'michele, so we might return ElWood, and there policy states they wll take any dog, for any reason. No explaination reqired. Michelle accusations of my husband and me not knowning how to train, good home He aked if we could trade for a more sutible, or wait four weeks for myself to recover from surgery. She was rude yelled some more then hung up on my husband.
Michele refused to answer any more of our phone calls, repeating she would not even consider taking him back for a few days we got no reponds.
I adopted a cat from this rescue. It was suppose to be tested and given shots and microchipped when I adopted him. I signed her bullshit adoption contract. Please read carefully before signing it. I can not hold her responsible now because I signed it. I am not the only person who has had an issue like this with this rescue. I ran into someone else at the pet store with a similar story. I am finding more info about this rescue that is not so good! Michele from this rescue has threatened to take me to court for slander. I have done nothing wrong. I wanted to adopt a cat from a rescue and thought the rescue would be honest! I will never do anything for this rescue ever again, and I never thought a rescue could be so terrible to animals! Just because she has a 501c3 does not make it a good rescue. I would like to know more about this rescue so action can be taken. I support rescue, but not this kind of rescue!
