We had new windows installed in a couple of rooms in our house. We used an independent contractor who we had used numerous times in the past, and who always did excellent, high quality work.
The contractor purchased the windows from Milwaukee Builders Supply and they are thw worst quality, almost useless windows you could ever imagine. During the winter months, the temperature in our home by the windows is less than 20 degrees! Ice forms in the corners of the windows the termperature is so cold. This is all documented on video.
We immediately reported the problem to the contractor who responded promptly and checked to see that the installation was correct. It was and this has been confirmed by other contractors. The contractor contacted Milwaukee Builders Supply to report the problem and to have someone from the company come out to check the windows. They tried to claim it had something to do with humidity, despite the fact that our humidity level is exactly where it is supposed to be. The windows are clearly defective and the company absolutely refuses to stand by their products.
To my knowledge these are the first products any of our contractors have purchased from Milwaukee Builders Supply, but apparently they sell shoddy, defective, cheap and useless products. Do not ever purchase products from them and if you have the ability, check with your contractors to make sure they obtain the products from some other supplier.
