I contacted Scott through Craigslist to desgin a website for me. We had agreed on a payment schedule with a timeline of what things were to be completed. I had also contacted the references and websites he sent me for past work. Everything checked out good. I personaly called those websites he had sent me for references.
At the beginning things were working well. Scott returned my messages right away. Scott was behind the timeline of what we had agreed on from the very beginning but always had an excuse why. It was always "we ran into some programming issues".
Even though Scott was behind on the timeline he still was in communication with me on a consistant basis. He completed I few things that I could see on my end with the website at the begining that were very basic. Then he started giving me excuses on why he needed the payments before things were completed. He basically said there was more programming on the back end then he intially thought.
I continued to make payments even though there was very little completed to the website due to the fact that I trusted Scott and he said he had done a lot of work on the back end programming things.
One day about 3 months ago I had called Scott and he answered and said he would call me right back. That was the last I heard from him. Since then I have sent over 20 emails, text msg, and voicemails. I have paid Scott over $10,000.00 and now have nothing of value.
