I had found a motorcycle on the eagle riders web sight. When I requested information on the bike I received a e mail from a person claiming to work for motorstraders. Which was supposed to be a business similar to PayPal. The original statement from their web sight claim that there was no down payment until after you received the bike and had inspected it. Once you agreed to buy it you were required to send a deposit the 10 days later you were required to provide payment. This sounded pretty good to me. I was supposed to be able to inspect the bike then decide if I wanted it or not. After I told them I agree to the price I was informed that now they needed a down payment. Which was never mentioned before. I decided that was fine. I understood that a down payment would hold the bike for me. Then the next e mail gave me instructions to send them 2 $500 Pay Pal Cash Cards. And they also wanted me to send pictures of the card codes and the sales receipts.
Ha. Right. That's like giving a complete stranger a thousand dollars cash and trusting that they didn't disappear. I was born at night. Just not last night. When I told them that I wasn't willing to do that they acted like they were insulted. Ha. What a scam. A reputable business would never ask for cash cards. I just want whomever reads this to be aware of their scam.
I was searching the Internet for a used motorcycle and fould a site called www.usedmotorcyles.net and found a suitable bike I was interested and then proceeded to contact the seller through this site. I got an email that stated it was available. I did more due diligence and after 5 days decided to give a downpayment. I then received another email requesting that they needed the remaining balance before shipment would happen, which was not part of the agreemnet. The agreement was that I would get a 10 day free look period to inspect the bike and keep it if I approved then send the remaining balance. After mutiple conversations through a chat thread on their site and emails, telling them that this was not acceptable they said they just changed their policy to get the balance owing before shipment would occur. I requested a full refund of my deposit which was agreed to. They said I would receive it in 10 days max. Well its been 10 days and no refund as a matter of fact their site is now down and gives a 404 error. Please use this to help yourself. I will update if anything should happen.
