Please read this story so you will not get taken in by this crooked company!

My mom signed up for My Advocate for Health in August of 2014 in the hopes of getting help with their costly medicine. The first thing this company did was to charge them approximatley $140 for enrollment fees. The second thing they did was to get ahold of their banking numbers by telling them that the payment had to be a bank draft!

They charged my parents $79.95 for the months of September, October, Novemeber, December, January and February and they have received a total each of one 90-day supply of their Celebrex and Savella! They have paid a total of approximately619.70 for three months worth of medicine. And best of all, the original rep assigned to my mom is no longer with the company and we cannot get the second one to return our phone calls.

Today, I find out that they don't have to jump thru hoops or deal with scammers, as they can to straight to Actavis Pharma, INC. and they will not be charged any enrollment fees nor will they be charged $79.95 per month for medicine that they cannot get!!!!

We will be seeking recourse to get the money they spent for medicine that they did not receive. I hope that someone will read this complaint and not be taken by scammers!!!

In October I received a call drom Dawn from My Advocates for Health 877-525-1385 offering a program for people with no insurance to receive free of deeply discounted medications. I was very excited. I need insulin and she said insulin is provided froom from application) was mailed to me explaining everything, promising me freetheir program. The cost to me is $59.95 per month.

Paperwork (application) was mailed to be explaining that I would receive free insulin and diabetic supplies. I filled out the application, mailed it back. Then went to a doctor which I paid for out of my own pocket. He filled out the forms. I mailed them back.

In December they said they didn't receive all the papers, which I find impossible because I made a copy for my records. So I faxed what they asked for. Still waiting for insulin, I called. They said they didn't receive one important page, which I had proof that all papers were sent via confirmation of fax transmittal. I fax again. On Dec, 16 I receive a testing meter but no testing strips. What's the use = You can't have one and not the other to take my glucose level.

I call back asking where the strips are. Demetria said "That's weird. I'll havew to check on that and call you back. I also asked her to check on my insulin. I told her it's becoming and emergency to receive it ASAP. Today - 11 days later, no insulin, no testing strips.I called again. Believe it or not, you are allowed to hold for the next available agent for 8 to 10 minutes. Then you are disconnected.

I called back six times. The story gets longer, more frustrating and still no answer on when I will get insulin. Oh, forgot to mention, in December the amount of monthly payment increased to $79.95. so December and now January I've paid $79.95 and no insulin

This company promised to get all of my medications free or for much less than I was paying for my prescriptions. I gave them a list of the most important and most expensive first and followed with most of the rest. They assured me they would save me on the most important ones or get them for free. A few others "might" have a small copay or processing fee. A few they said they would have to verify. All I have gotten, I could have bought myself cheaper when you add their initial and monthly "membership" charges. I have yet to get the most important and expensive medications. They closed for the holidays (in terms of assistance) however, on Sunday December 28th at 11:38 am, I received a call from their collection department which was working to collct money and I explained I had to buy my medications, so I was low on money. Before I could tell him to have "my advocate" call me Monday, he went on a rant claiming I never sent them prescriptions, .... They are obviously more concerned with collections and profit than the truth or obtaining my prescriptions! Besides never getting the most critical medications, I have to re-apply or start the entire process again January 1st. They have cost me more money and grief than assistance and then with 2 or 3 days left in the year they want more money without ever getting the life threatening medications!!! I had asked for a refund over a month ago - when they "promised" I'd get the medications promptly. No medications or refills; just a call from collections!
