I signed up for MyHeritage.com a year ago, and thought that I was getting a two year subscription. This morning I found two charges from them pending when I reviewed my checking account. I was very surprised they had gone through as my debit had expired 3 months ago, and I hadn't gone in to my account info and updated it as I was planning on letting it expire. I contacted my bank and was given their phone number [877-432-3135], and told I needed to try to work it out with them. I called and talked to Spencer No Last Name Used Here who told me that my bank had given them the updated expiration date of my debit card! I told him that if the charges do indeed go through [they've just gotten the authorization and put a hold on the funds], I would be disputing them, and charging them with fraud. He wished me a good day and hung up. I called the bank back and agreed to cancel my debit card so they can't do this next year, and was told how to proceed if the charges go through. Later I got an email from MyHeritage.com stating my account was cancelled after I went on their site and did that between phone calls. Whether or not the charges will go through is yet to be seen. I want others to be aware that this is a very unethical company, and there are numerous such complaints against them with the Lehi BBB for unathorized debit and credit card charges.

On April 22, 2013 I paid $191.04 for two years of upgraded access to MyHeritage.com. On May 22, 2014, Plimus.com, on behalf of MyHeritage.com billed and took from my account $119.40 for another year's subscription. From the day I purchased the uprgrade, April 22, 2013, I have been unable to access the upgraded account. There is no support telephone to call, no answers to emails and today I told MyHeritage I wanted my money back. This website is an obvious rip off. I would love to use capital letters, because that's how I feel, but I am trying to get the word out to other potential users. Do not give these people your money. They steal and it seems there is no way to shut the theft off. Thanks for the opportunity to tell everyone about MyHeritage.com. Really bad.

I'm disgusted with this site and their customer service. It's obviously a scam this website and I can't believe anyone would support a website that's a scam. I've came across two different addresses for this company and that's very strange to me.

They also don't have a phone number so that makes this website a scam. They've been ripping numerous people off and there's even a facebook page for complaints about this scam website.

I've sent numerous emails, one including my phone number. They don't respond to any of them nor call me. I should have had my money back sooner since I contacted them way before Christmas.

I wasted $119 on this horrible website, I can't cancel my account with ease, I can't turn off auto renewal, and I can't delete my card information. Actually, I can't even see my full account/billing information. I don't want to renew my account because it's a scam and because I'm not wasting another $119 for a scam. I will not use this website ever ever ever again.

Please, if you ever want to try a genealogy website, please take your money somewhere else. This site will just rip you off.

They don't have their address clearly shown on the website, you have to dig for it. And they don't even have a phone number. Apparently, they run out of Israel and pose as a US company.

I will be take legal matters now.
