I'm from the south so pardon the GWTW reference, but "as God as my witness, I will never ..." recommend anyone to Nationstar Mortgage for a refinance. They were, like so many others on here, the company who ended up with my mortgage.

They literally stalked me with FedEx packages (2-3 times) delivered to my house marked urgent, many many phone calls and emails encouraging me to refinance.

So I tried too, but then because I had some Fraud Alerts on my account when my identity was previously stolen years back, they said they couldn't do it until I removed them. That was also a process but much easier than the refi.

I finally got them removed, they reran my credit, sold me on the HARP refi and that I would have to provide very little information as they already had my loan. I was pleased with the rate. So I signed the lock in agreement.

From there, the nice Loan Originator David Totty transfers you to the Closing Coordinator Jane Speas. Mine was nice enough and I learned that my frustration that I had with her really had little to do with her and she was a victim to an inept Underwriting Department.

Let me pause and say I acknowledge I received a good rate and low closing costs, but I must also admit that I would paid more, up to 500 bucks more if there was better customer service from the Underwriting Department. I first pointed all of my frustration at my Closing Coordinator but learned, not through her as she remained nothing but professional the whole time despite my frustration; that it was all due to the inept Underwriting Department.

It took 5 weeks and 5 separate days of scheduled closing and 5 cancellations because of Underwriting. Not until the 6th day of scheduled closing and 2 hours prior did they call and tell me they needed a new Insurance policy since mine just missed the cutoff for it to be included in the loan, by a few days - darn. Really? I didn't cancel anything. I gave them my policy 5 weeks back. So 2 hours prior to closing I had to rush and renew and now accept that I have to bring 1K extra to closing because darn it, they missed it by just a few days. WTH!

I wanted to say forget it - jump in a lake - and more, but pulled up my big boy drawers and bit my lip and just did it; so as not to have to go through this again. I would have liked to shop for better insurance as my renewal was 250 bucks higher than the previous policy and I've never had a claim.

There was little communication. The last minute rush documents drove me to the edge of crazy. I am organized and handle my stuff.

If it were not for the rate and low closing cost I would have bounced.

Customer Service is free. With the exception of my first mortgage guy David Totty and the Closing Coordinator Jane Speas, who I grew to like very much as she demonstrated empathy and frustration with her own company and their ineptitude it was a terrible process.

When I order dominos pizza, at least I get a pizza tracker and know every step of the way - from when they are making it, when it's in the oven, who made it, when it's being boxed and inspected and who's driving it to me, with a blinky progress bar and such.

If they can do it for pizza, why not give it a shot on mortgages and let your customers know along the way what's going on.

David Totty and Jane Speas were fine to work with, actually enjoyable. But Jane's boss, Eric and Anthony and John(I think it's John - it's Anthony's boss) - they were terrible. Eric was smart mouthed to me, Anthony was belligerant and John first was empathetic and worked with me then turned into a jerk 3 days later when he had to call with bad news - I had to bring even more to the closing table.

Know this, everytime they delay your closing, it cost the consumer even more money. Mine was delayed multiple times for ridiculous reasons - snow (in Dallas - really - was it a blizzard?) -- great - cha ching - more money for me to bring. Light dusting in Atlanta - where nothing was closed but they used it for another delay. It was almost like they wanted to keep delaying the closing.

Nationstar mortgage has charged unknown fees, late fees and interested. They gave no explanation where and why the fees had come from. Every person you speak with tells you something different and transferrs to different departments For no reason. They had sherfris come to the door after we had settled on a foreclosure amount that was still incorrect. I was told the statements don't mean anything it's what they see in front of them. You can't get answers or the correct information.

Bank of America sold our home loan to Nationstar Mortgage in June 2013 (apparently). We did NOT find out till the end of July 2013. It has been a nightmare dealing with these people. They hold our mortage payment till the end of the month, and it bounces or they say they have never gotten it.

My escrow of over $1000.00 that we had with Bank of America, Suddenly has gone "poof" and no one knows where it is.

We have made several calls to these people, sometimes getting the phone tag run around through depts. The people are VERY VERY rude.

We have had our mortgage for 10 years, and NEVER had been late or bounced a check, UNTIL we were sold to this scam company. Now, they are saying we havent made payments, the ones we have were late (so of course fees attached).

I called a consumer company called HOPE or something, and the guy was shocked how rude the nationstar woman was, she was making comments about us not paying our mortgage, etc.

This company laughs when you explain you have the cancelled checks, yet credit is ruined, and they make comments about forclosure.

They always say "this is an attempt to collect a debt" when they answer the phone, My mortgage is NOT a debt in collections. which turns out this company is, a collection company.

This is a serious nightmare to deal with and no one will help,

These people are TRUE SCAM ARTISTS! They are committing mortgage fraud and the BBB has over 1600 complaints against this company.

Bank of America never told us they were selling our mortgage, and it turns out they have sold 1,000 of mortgages to this company.

I get sick to my stomach when I have to write my mortgage payment each month because I do NOT know what is in store for us each month.

Someone HAS to stop these people!

Nationstar Mortgage company is a bunch of fradulent incompetent individuals I have ever had to deal with. They are non-responsive and lie through their teeth. We have had our mortgage interest rate increased and are finding it very difficult to make the required payments to Nationstar. We have contacted them on several occasions and low and behold have not heard a word back.

We were trying to have our mortgage modified of which our loan specialist told us she was sending the paperwork. We never received it and about 2 weeks later we now receive a notice from a law firm that they are trying to collect the debt of our house. My husband and I tried to work with them. They never called us back, wrote us back, or emailed us back as we used all three ways to try and communicate with them.

We are now in a situation where we will probably be taken to court even though we tried evey which way to contact them. To boot, they have given our mortgage to some other mortgage company without our knowledge or approval to do so. I have children at home and now we are going to be uplifted and will have to find another place to live. This is just great. Welcome to the United States of America!

We are law-abiding citizens and both work hard for what we have. We don't go on vacations because we cannot afford them but enjoy the family time that we have with one another. We don't ask for much, but when we do this is what we get,...a slap in the face! Thanks Nationstar!!!! Remind me to thank you in court! Idiots!!!!!

Looking for help, direction and possibly a class action to join

My name Brent I'm married with one child we live in Kingston n.h. . I fear that I might lose everything I worked for. my home is on the line and my wife and I are under tremendous amount of stress all thanks to a corrupt scum bag company called nationstar.

BoA sold my mortgage to nationstar two years ago unknowingly and immediately started having problems with lost paper work, communication, being told I was late on payments, late fees, a $30 convenience charge for paying online and rude unprofessional morons who play games jumping person to person for hours. WTF. It gets worst

Months rolled by things got slow at work I slowly got behind only to dig myself by working 70 hours a week. Mean while I applied for a lone mod. I couldn't even get a hold of my lone officer nor would call me back.at this point I given up simply don't have the free time to play the phone game.so my wife took over dealing with these people. I endured harassing phone calls up to 8 a day at work/home, moneys token out of my bank with out my consent drawn in to the navigative with late fees from other bills only to be told it was my fault all to happen again the next week, at -$3000 its not a good feeling when u can't put food on the table having a toddler... payments held in suspense?

yesterday I signed lone mods. (1 year later )It was very unclear last minute. It was sign then or face foreclosure. I know its a bad deal I wasn't expecting anything else. I'm sure plenty of laws have been broken here.I need help.

Nationstar was my mortgagor. I had a job loss that resuted in being behind in my payment. Up to this point I had been on the accelerated payment plan, paying one and a half payments. As I was approaching my missed payment, I tried to contact Nationstar on numerous occasions. When I finally got through to somebody I was told that I was 90 days past due on my payments (not true) I inquired about the loan modification program, and they told me about the procedures and the packet must be filled out and sent to them. I gathered all the documents and mails, and faxed them to Nationstar. After another month went by, and not heard from them;I called them again.

I was told that they did not recieve the packet, and the time had passed for me to apply for loan modifiation. I resent the packet, and then was denied. I qualified for the Hamp program, yet Nationstar told me I did not qualify. I called several times during the course of the next month to set up payment arrangement. When I finally was able to talk to someone, they told me I had to pay $ 5200.00 to catch up before they could arrange a repayment plan. I explained to them that the reason I got behing was because I became unemployed. They told me that , that was not their problem, and I had an obligation to pay them and I was in default. I did not have $5200, and asled if they would except extra money towards my mortgage payment to make up for my arears. They sad the minimum payment they could do was $1600 (my payment was $1047)I explained to them that I just got a job, and was making much less than I did previously, and that I could not pay that much, but I could give them $1400. This was unacceptable to them.

At this point I was now 6 months behind on my payments, because they would not accept my original payment. I attempted many calls and correspondances to them with no response. Everytime I called them, and was actually able to talk to someone they all gave me different answers, and told me different things. The next thing I got was a forclosure notice. This company is nothing but unprofessional and deceiving. The President had passed many bills to help homeowners to keep their homes, unfortunately you still have to go through the mortgage company, and this company was in no way willing to help anyone. There are reviews after reviews about this company and their deceptive practices, like increasing our payments but several hindred dollars because (there was not enough money in escrow) which was false. I made every attempt to save me from losing my home. Nationstar was unwilling to work with me, so that I could avoid foreclosure.

In 2013 I requested a refinaing of my home loan through a law firm, Michael A. Rabel & Associates, LLC at a cost of $4,200.00. They did a remodification and sent it to nationstar mortgage, llc and since that time it has been constant confusion. To contact nationstart via customer service takes an act of congress. I get transfered from one deptment to another and nothing ever get done correctly. This whole process was to prevent losing my home since I was retiring and i would not be able to keep up any large payments. Since then my payments have been increased without my being notified and to top it all off no one at that company will talk to me or tell me why my payments or being increased. i make monthly payments via their website and suddenly they disapear and nationstar can't find them and then i have to go through my bank gathering information because of their incompitance. To date (1-26-2015) i have been on the phone for over two hours trying to get my payments straight and to get my account inorder and to no avail. one department does not talk to another department and therefore nothing gets done. I am retired with limited income and cannot afford a large monthly payment yet these people don't seem to care nor do they to care about customer service. I get angry everytime i have to try and contact them. Signede, Thomas Smith

In 2005, My mortgage was held by First Horizon. I fell behind by one payment with First Horizon. I attempted to modify the mortgage and was told that I did not qualify. They sold my mortgage to Nationstar. I was able to catch up with the mortgage. in November 2010, after being out of work for 8 months, I fell behind again. I attempted to modify or refinance with Nationstar only to be told no. In February, 2012, I was able to catch up. In March, 2013, I was laid-off, but managed to pay the mortgage until June 2013, when my unemployment did not cover the bills in the house and my 401k funds had been exhausted. Since then, I have tried to modify again. Three times I forwarded the requested paperwork, and each time I was told, "They never received it." Once again, I forwarded the paperwork to them and they agreed to modify the loan for three months at a rate higher then I was already supposed to pay. If I could not afford to pay the current payment, they now expected me to pay more. I declined the offer and have resolved that they are not a company that is interested in their customers problems. I have suggested that I would take a deed in Lieu, and leave the property. They informed me that they would not offer this option either. I have reached the end of the rope with this house. In the last month, they have added an additional 20k to the mortgage balance, with 15.00 a month being added for them to come to the house every month to see if it is still occupied. They never leave any documentation that they have been there, so it appears to be added charges for invisible services.

I would also be interested in a class action suit against this company.

NationStar company is my mortgage company since it was trnsfered from the other bank in May 2013. It is a nightmare to deal with them. I did not recive any statement from them so I called several times to see what they can provide with for me to see how my money is applied. On 7-8-13 I was told by Havier that because I am in bankrupcy I have no right to the statement. They can only verbally provide me with that information. I asked for the manager. At this poind he just hang up on me. I called again. David told me that to see how the money is applied I need to call every month. I asked for the payment booklet.

I receive a booklet. In January 2014 I start sending some money towards principals, $100-$300 a month. In June I asked for the history of the mortgage. It turnes out that the extra money I sent to them ($1200) was seating in Miss. account. After my complain with BBB some money (supposely) were applied to the principals but not all of it. BBB close the case as unresolved.

In July I sent my mortgage payment and separate check for $200.00. In memo I wrote that it can be applied to principals only. I called on 7-25-14 it was not applied to principals. Amanda told me that if I want to pay extra I need to specefy that on the check. This is exactly what I did and still is not working. When I asked her how to do it in the future she has no answer for me.

They are greedy, and the worst part is it is no way to know where the money goes. I have no idea what else they are doing, but I saw some strange service charges??? There are many complains against NationStar on line why nothing is done about them??? Please count me in for the Class Action against Nation Star Mortgage.

Due to unforeseen circumstances in which I take full responsibility for my mortgage fell behind several months. I began receiving foreclosure notices from the mortgage company as well as a law firm. I contacted the mortgage company to review my alternatives, I was told that there were no options but to pay the past due mortgage along with a large dollar amount due to the law firm handling the foreclosure. I explained to the mortgage representative that I was able to pay the past due mortgage however the large dollar amount of attorney fees was preventing me from paying the total amount due. She stated she contacted the law office and was informed that the amount she sent and quoted me was the amount the law firm quoted her. I asked her to send me a breakdown of the amount due she sent me a very detailed email outlining the amount total amount due along with deadline to pay to prevent the foreclosure. After raising the money to have my mortgage reinstated I called the mortgage company and spoke with the same representative who informed me the amount she stated still was good and I was to send the certified funds to her. I decided to call the law firm the same day I was to send the reinstatement payment to the mortgage. I was informed by them they were not contacted by the mortgage company regarding the charge that should be added to my reinstated amount. The mortgage company advised me I had to pay $4777.59; the actual amount due per the law firm was $3333.12. The legal fees were only $50 and I was consistently quoted legal fees in the amount of $1502.48. You can imagine how upset I was to learn that I could have possibly lost my home due to the negligence of the mortgage company and their representative. Please help me, was this fraud, was I being scammed, how many families have lost their homes due to this incompetence. I am reaching out to you in hopes that you hear my story and somehow bring right to the wrong that was done to me. I am not looking for any monetary compensation; an acknowledgement of their wrong doing would be fine. Perhaps they should be made to review and revise their reinstatement policies when it comes to their employees.

My home was forclosed on May 6th , 2014 by nationstar mtg/centexhome equity. I paid cash for the HUD property. Spent 30,000 or more enlarging and upgrading the property. After completion , I owed the contractor 6,000 balance and need furniture. I applied for and received 15,000 from Centex home equity 2005. I put my home up as collateral. My laon application was for 15,000 only. The contract I signed never mentions the 15,000 but states"a certain sum". Fot that certain sum I was to Pay back 112,000 plus 10% interest for 30 years.

I paid the 982 .00 note for several years thinking I only owed 15,000 plus interest. filed bankruptcy because i could not maintian the high note for 30yrs.I ask for an equity loan for 15,000 . I have been cheated out of my home and i want help with anything form of legal action to clear my house from these theives.

Bank of America sold our loan to Nation Star as of April 2013. We were told we would recieve a welcome package with our account number within 10 days. We recieved it the last Friday of April with an additional letter stating we were late with our April 2013 house payment. Immediately we wrote a check and mailed it. On Saturday, we received the May 2013 coupon and since it was the last of the month we wrote a second check and mailed it. Both checks have cleared the bank.

Since this time, we have made a payment on the first of every month for four months. However, the phone calls and the nasty grams continue to come.

They have held our note for four months. Checks written for all four months but Nation Star reported to the Credit Bureau companies that we were 60 days in arrears on our note. Thus raising havec with our credit almost to the tune of a 120 point drop!

We have faxed & mailed certified copies from our bank of all four checks with absolutely no results. Several phone calls have been made trying to clear this up. I have been lied to, patronized and just plain treated rudily by everyone at Nation Star that I have talked to. With no results.

We got so fed up in the first two months of the nasty grams and nasty phone calls that we went and refinanced our home with another company. But the calls keep coming and they wont recognize the loan with them has been paid and transferred to another company.

I tried one last time yesterday to try and get this resolved after trying to buy a new car which we were refused because our report stated we were now 90 days in arrears! We are hiring an attorney just to help us make them clear up and clean up their false reporting to the Credit Bureaus. We will be taking our credit report, check copies, all letters from Nation Star, telephone records and a copy of our new mortgage to set up for a law suit against them.

I recommend to anyone that has a loan at Nation Star to refinance if at all possible. This company is untrustworthy and liars and if not careful will foreclose on your home and report falsely to the Credit Bureaus. This is a very nasty company.

Nationstar Mortgage has caused us to become delinquent in our mortgage. We were able to have our loan modified in November after making the three trial payments. At that time we took the paperwork to the bank to have it notarized, attatched a void check to the paperwork and specified to have the payment taken out the 10th of the month. I did not know the payments were not being taken out, I assume they lost the paperwork. Nationstar sent a certified letter to us stating we were behind in our mortgage in March. Between that time, we were not sent anything in the mail. Now it's almost impossible to catch up with the debt. My husband has a used car business and the payments were taken out of the business account. Nationstar will not help us at all, or put us on a repayment plan.

When I received my 1098 statement this year from Nationstar Mortgage, the information regarding the property taxes paid from my escrow account was incorrect. Over a period of several months, I contacted Nationstar customer service and each time, I was told that they had indeed made a mistake assured me that I would receive an updated statement. Unfortunately, they just kept sending me the same erroneous statement. Eventually, after 7 or 8 calls, several emails, and a couple of letters, I received a letter in the mail saying that they acknowledged that the statement was wrong, but that they would not provide me with an updated statement. When I again complained, I received a notice that my monthly mortgage payment was being raised (by over $100 per month). They say it was because they needed to start keeping an escrow "cushion", yet they hadn't needed this "cushion" before, and neither my taxes or homeowners insurance had increased. All I wanted was an accurate statement for my tax records!!!! Now I'm stuck with the erroneous statement and a higher payment. So, if you're thinking about financing or refinancing with Nationstar, BEWARE!!! Their customer care representatives are poorly trained, their customer service is horrible, and if you complain too much, they find some excuse to raise your payment!!

They are the most unprofessional mortgage company. my loan was transferred from Bank of America to Nationstar and I was in the middle of a modification which I qualify 100%. but after months and months of wait they denied it first time because the numbers were calculated wrong. when I pointed out that the calculations were wrong they supposetly reoped the case but denied it second time because "the property is worth more with me out on the street and if they work with me and lock my rate."

the manager Brian Dodd contacted me and said his exact words:

" we wont modify your loan because there's equity on your house so if we do modify you - you may come back in a year of two and ask for another modifications. so we are going to assume that's what's going to happen and therefore we don't want to wast our time. "

can you believe this company. they are the biggest thief out there. when taxpayers saved the big banks it was great/ but when its time for the banks to work with the homeowners they are greedy and rather put 5 people out on the street where 3 out of 5 people living in the home are children under 2 yrs of age.

shame on Nationwide .
